六下Unit 4 Road safety Story time 二、单元教材分析:

本单元围绕“行路安全”这一话题,呈现了若干行路规则和安全知识,旨在引导学生树立正确过马路的安全知识。这一话题与学生的生活紧密相关,通过如何过马路的行为指南及车辆的行驶规则,重点呈现了情态动词must及其否定形式mustn’t的用法,在教学过程中联系生活实际,鼓励学生认识更多交通标识,掌握安全知识,做遵守交通规则的社会公民。

三、学情分析:

1.“行路安全”这一话题贴合学生的生活实际,也是非常重要的一个内容。学生对过马路的交通规则、红绿等的具体含义以及车辆的行驶规则已有一定的知识经验基础。

2. 本课所重点学习的情态动词must及其否定形式mustn’t可以结合六年级上册的Unit5,Unit6,Unit7中的can\should等情态动词来进行关于规定和规则的表达。

四、教学目标:

1.在情景中整体理解Story time的内容。

2.在 Story time 的学习过程中掌握有关道路交通方面的新词 road, light, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rules, follow,体会情态动词must及其否定must not 的用法,并能简单区分形容词safe,名词safety及副词safely的不同。

3.能用正确的语音语调朗读Story time。

4.能理解道路安全知识,尝试用英语说说道路交通规则。

5.能牢记过马路的交通规则,树立安全意识。

五、教学重点:

1.能理解道路安全知识,尝试用英语说说道路交通规则。

2.在 Story time 的学习过程中掌握有关道路交通方面的新词 road, light, zebra crossing, pavement, look out for, easily, rules, follow,must,safety,safely。

六、教学难点:

1.体会情态动词must及其否定must not 的用法,并能简单区分形容词safe,名词safety及副词safely的不同。

2.能牢记过马路的交通规则,树立安全意识。

七、教学过程:

Step 1 Warming up 1. Free talk: T: How do you go to school? How does your mother\father go to work? S: On foot or by bike\bus\car T: 总结

: Every day, we walk or drive on the road. 2. T: Now, Let’s look at some people. They are walking or driving on the road now. Then, please judge: “Are they right?”(看一些行人、司机图片) 1)Look and judge. Are they right? Ss: Yes, yes, yes! \No. no, no!

2)T:(停留在最后一幅图) What are they doing? S: They are crossing the road. T: Is he right? / Is it safe? S: No, no, no. T: Yes. Maybe there will be an accident. The people in the bus will hurt. So we must keep safe.\Road safety is very important. 3. 揭题:Today we are going to talk about “Road safety”.

Teach: cross, road, safe, safety. Step 2 Presentation and practice 1. T: There are many busy roads in the cities. How can we cross the roads safely? Do you know any rules? (让学生表达自己已有的生活经验,了解学生的语言基础。)

S: 学生用中文自由说说交通规则。

T: Good. They are all rules. To keep safe, we must follow some rules. There are three rules in the story, too. Let’s learn from the story together. Teach: safety, rules. 2. T: (学习课文第一部分)How can you cross the roads safely?Let’s read and find the first rule.

S: (Read freely) First, you must look for a zebra crossing. Then, you must look at the traffic lights and wait for the green man.

T: Good. Here are some traffic lights. Let’s learn more about them. When the light is red, what does it mean? S: That means we must not cross the road. T: When the light is green , what does it mean? S: That means we can cross the road T: What about the yellow man? S: (根据学生已有知识经验)It means “wait”

Teach: a zebra crossing, traffic lights, green man, must T: The traffic lights are very important. You must look at the traffic lights and wait for the green man. But first, you must look for a zebra crossing. So this is Rule1. Now let’s read after the tape. S: Read together. 3. T: But sometimes you cannot find a zebra crossing near you. How can we cross the road safely? Please read freely. And try to line down the answers of these questions. Questions:

①Where must we wait before we cross the road?

②What should we do when we wait?

③How should we look out for the traffic? ④Is it a good idea to cross the road with other people? Why?

S: Read by themselves, then checkout the answers together.

Teach: pavement T: So this is Rule2. Let’s read.

S: Read after the tape 4. How about the Rules3. First, let’s look at some pictures. What can you see in the pictures? Ss: Some boys are playing football by the road. A boy is skating\running on the road. T: Is it safe? Why? Ss: Because there are many cars and bikes on the road. T: So what rules do you know? Ss: We must not run or play on the road. T: Yes. This is the Rule3. Read after the tape. Step3 Consolidation 1. Let’s summary. (三个规则) T: Today we learnt some rules about road safety. Rule1: look for a zebra crossing,…
