The analysis of the teaching contents:

The topic of this text is about “robot”. It is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to raise the students' learning interests. The purpose of this text is to tell students what these robots can do in different fields.The students in Grade 5 have learnt some related information about this topic, so it will be easier to lead in the topic.

The analysis of the students:

The students in Grade 5 have learnt something about robot in their textbook, they are active and eager to get in touch with new things. They are willing to express and say something around their life. Teaching aims:

Knowledge aims:

1. Students can read, comprehend some words: person, spider, plant, wings, dive and do the exercises correctly.

2. Students can listen, comprehend and read the text . 3. Students can listen, read ,write and say these sentences “some robots look like..., they can ..., they work…

” etc.

Ability aims: 1. Students can comprehend and use these sentence patterns “some robots look like..., they can ... ” to introduce the robot’s shape, ability and other information in a real situation.

2. Students can read, comprehend and get the main information correctly through different reading skills.

Emotion aims: By the end of this lesson, try to 1. Cultivate students’ ability of imagination and divergent thinking. 2. Encourage students to try different activities to build up their love to life and cultivate their consciousness of cooperation. Teaching key and difficult points:

Step 1: Warm-up
