Xiamen is located on the southeast coast of China. Xiao Li lives in the northwest of Xiamen. He is now taking John Martin to visit his hometown. John Martin thinks it is attractive, lively and interesting. And the people are so friendly. The climate in Xiamen is pretty hot and wet in summer, but it can be quite cold in the winter. There are a lot of tourists around, which sometimes can be a nuisance. The

business district is so modern. There are a lot of newly built high-rise buildings and great shopping malls. The western district is near the harbour and it has some pretty parks. You could see the gorgeous Gulangyu Island with some interesting architecture. Step 3
