I. Analysis of Teaching Materials and students

This text is chosen from PEP English textbook and it focuses on family members. It presents Mike’s family and introduces his family members. This theme is close to students’ daily life and they will be interested in it. By the end of class, students should be able to show their family to others , in this lesson students’ speaking quality will be developed.

Students are in Grade 3 who have a basic English background knowledge, so they can talk with each other easily and fluently to some extent. At the same time, the theme is about family members, so they are interested in it and they have much to talk, which is beneficial to learn.

With the Smart Notebook ,making the class more effective.

Ⅱ. Teaching Objectives

Knowledge Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

1.Understand and use the vocabulary and phrases: mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister. This is my... Help each other. 2. Use the structures to talk about family members:

Hi, I’m ... This is my family. Look! This is my grandmother. This is my ... Ability Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to :

1. Introduce their family members to others.

2. Cooperate and communicate with others in group work.

Affective Objectives:

Students learn to love their father and mother , love their family and help each other.

教学反思:

本节课中,我注重从学生的实际出发,挖掘生活中素材,从激发学生的学习兴趣入手,尽可能地让课堂贴近生活。课前,我提前通知学生把全家福的照片带来,以便上课时把所学的语言在真实的情景中应用。在热身复习部分,我充分发挥英语歌曲在英语教学中的作用,把学生的注意力引到英语课中来,而且为学习新知识埋下了伏笔,为上好一堂课做了良好的前奏。

在拓展环节中,我首先用我的全家福做示范,用投影展示,问: Whose family is this ?引导该家庭的学生迅速反应:This is your family .然后指着照片中的人物引导学生向我提问“Is she your mother?”等等,尽量复习巩固本单元的重点词汇和句型,最后总结并描述:Hi, I’m Lazy. This is my family. Look! This is my grandfather. This is my...引导学生操练Let’s play的内容。不过遇到的难题是让孩子们提前准备全家福照片,仍有一小部分孩子没有带来。还有课堂操

练的时间有限,很多孩子没有机会通过投影向全班同学介绍他的家人。

最后的拓展延伸环节,我特意融入了一个绘本My Family,是在WWW.STARFALL.COM的英语学习网站中精心挑选的,有图片、文字还有音频,故事很有趣,很吸引孩子,共同学习了绘本之后,孩子们仍旧对网站的其他内容非常感兴趣。我也思考今后要多尝试课本与绘本融合教学,让学生学习更多课外英语知识,培养英语阅读习惯。
