In a nature park

Good afternoon,ladies and Gentlemen, I am ... from xinguang primary school. It’s my great pressure to stand here to talk my lesson.

I will divide my lesson in to five parts: Analysis of : Teaching materials

and the learners. Teaching aims and teaching methods. Teaching procedures. Blackboard design and reflection.

Firstly ,I will begin with the Teaching materials and the learners. My lesson is period1, Part A, Let’s learn of Unit6, In a nature park, book1. It’s listening and speaking Lesson. As the student in Grade5 ,They are about 11-12years old. They already know some words :in front of ,behind,beside,between,near... They also can describe something by using the sentence pattern : There be....

As for the teaching aims and methods.

Knowledge aims: Ss will learn some new words ,such as: nature park, forest,hill,mountain,lake, river,and the sentence pattern: Is there a ....? And can answer it correctly: Yes, there is . \No, there isn’t.

Ability aims: Ss will like to work in cooperation, and Ss can speak

English in a good way.

Emotion aims: Ss will have a good sense of protecting environment. Love nature ,love life.

As for the teaching methods:

In this lesson ,I will use CAI ,and many pictures to help Ss know the nature park. Task -based teaching method and some games also can be used . It can help Ss to get interest into the content. And pictures can catch Ss attentions in learning .

Well, Let’s come to the most important part: Teaching Procedures: I will divide into three aspects as : Let me know , Let me try and let me do . As for the Let me know. At the very beginning,,Ss will be able to describe a bedroom by using the sentence pattern “there be” and they will get into English atmosphere very fast. They can also pick up the knowledge they have learned. Such as : There is a ....to describe some places. Then I will leave them a question : What’s in the nature park? Which can be stimulated Ss ‘ imagination and language expressions. For new words: Ss will be able to know the nature park with pictures ,Ss will learn the new words by listening and repeating after the tape. I will teach the words by using the phonics. C -a k e -a-e Lake... and teach the others in the same way. In this part ,

key points and difficulties will be taught by using the games: Find the difference ? which can make Ss know the difference between hill and mountain ,lake and river. I think Ss will have great interest in it. Show the task: draw your nature park and talk about it.

Let me try : Ss should work in pairs and make dialogues : I s there a ...in the nature park? Yes ,there is . No ,there isn’t. which can train their memory and cooperation . 3-5 pairs will show their dialogues. Then Ss will finish the exercises: fill in the blanks. That can help Ss get ready for the task.

Let’s come to the last part: task fulfillment . Ss will work in groups. They can draw a nature park ,or using the stickers to design a nature park. After that, they will talk about the pictures .

For example: welcome to the nature park. Look , there is a ....in front of the ..., There is s .... behind the ...., There are many .....and ...., There is a (big \small)....near the ..... some ducks are swimming in it....
