教学目标

1. 能听、说、读、写单词：east, west, north, south, northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast。

2. 能运用上述单词准确描述地理位置。

重点难点

重点：能听、说、读、写单词：east, west, north, south, northwest,northeast, southwest, southeast。

难点：能运用上述单词准确描述包头、海南，新疆、青岛等这些城市的地理位置。

教学准备

1.本单元的单词教学卡片和包头、海南，新疆、青岛这些城市的图片。

2.盒子和一支钢笔，课件。

3.Let’s learn部分单词的录音。

教学方法建议

Ⅰ. 课程导入（Leading In）

课前复习方位介词

in on under near beside behind between…and T:Look,where is the pen？(教师变换钢笔的位置，提问) Ss:It’s in /under/near/on the box. 老师带大家学更多的关于方位的名词。明确学习目标。

Ⅱ. 课程展示（Presentation）

ⅰ. 新课展示 Part A Let’s learn 1. 教授单词north , south ,west, east （1）T: Do you know the city ,Baotou? Here is a map of China. Where is it? Oh, here it is. It’s in the north of China. 师生一起在地图上找出包头的位置，说一说：

T/Ss: Here it is. It’s Baotou. It’s in the north. 听录音跟读，拼读，板书并领读单词north；朗读时提醒学生注意字母组合or读[]的音，不要读成[]的音，而字母组合th读清辅音[θ的音。North 缩写为“N”. （2）借助课件展示海南美丽的沙滩，会话呈现south。

T: Look at the beach. It’s very nice. Do you know where it is? Ss: Yes. It’s in Hainan. T: Where is Hainan? Who can find Hainan on the map? 请学生们在地图上找出海南的位置之后，教师介绍：

T: Here it is. It’s in the south of China. 听录音跟读，拼读，板书并领读单词south，提醒学生注意字母组合ou读[au]的音，字母组合th读清辅音[θ]的音。south缩写为“S”

（3）出示新疆姑娘的图片，询问

T: where are they from? T:They are from Xingjiang. （带领学生说出同意句They come from

Xingjiang.）

T:Where is Xingjiang? Ss：It’s in the west of China. 听录音跟读，拼读，板书并领读单词west.west 缩写为“W”。

（4）出示青岛啤酒的图片，询问：

T：Where is it made? Ss:Qingdao. T:Where is Qingdao? Ss:It is in the east of China. 听录音跟读，拼读，板书并领读单词east.east 缩写为“E”。

(5)North points up. South points down. West points left. East points right.以小磁针所指的方向明确四个方位。然后打节拍说唱。 2. 教授单词northwest(NW), northeast(NE), southwest(SW), southeast(SE) 教师借助呈45度角的坐标，教授单词northwest。引领学生发现规律和技巧，探究其余三个方位northeast, southwest, southeast的表达方式，用构词法帮助学生快速记忆单词。

引导学生在地图上找一找沈阳、上海、昆明、乌鲁木齐这些城市的位置，并说一说：

— Where is Shenyang? — It’s in the northeast of China. Ⅲ. 巩固活动

1.教师播放Let’s learn部分的单词动画，让学生听并跟读本部分的单词。

2.当堂练习

根据意思写出正确的单词。

1）Shanghai is in the (东南) of China. 2）Harbin is in the (东北) of China . It's very cold in winter . 3）Guangzhou is in the (南方) of China. 4）There is a river in the (西方) of our town. IV.Homework: Write these words threes times and make a sentence with each word.
