3.Guessing Game

Guess the name of a country according to pictures and sentences they see. (UK,

Australia)

Explain some culture tips about those two countries.

Step 2 Presentation

1. introduction part.

Have students to listen to the text and answer: Why are they talking about Australia? Students read this part sentence by sentence. Guide them to read in the right way. 2. Part 1, How do the students find out about Australia?

Ask ss: what do you know about Australia?

What will you do if you want to know about Australia?

Have students to answer with the structure:I’ll...

Have students to watch the video and tell me what Mike and his friends do for finding out about Australia.

Have students talk about what they will do in paragraph.

3. Part2. What interesting things are there in Australia?

Have students to read part two and find out about what Liu Tao finds on the Internet. And ask how about those things.

Have students answer why the title says: An interesting country.

Step 3 Consolidation

1. Reading

Have students to read the text following the audio and then read by themselves. Finish the mind map.

2. Task:

Bobby wants to go to Australia, but he does n’t know anything about Australia. Please talk with him about Australia .

Step 4 Homework

1.Read the text and talk about Australia to parents in English.

2.Finish the exercise on the Note Paper about the UK.

3.Finish the exercise on Page36.
