[教材分析] The selected teaching material is a business proposal taken from the Reading section of Unit 3, Module 4 of Advance with English. This unit explores the theme of the future and tomorrow’s world. It provides a chance for students to gain a better understanding of the future and to imagine what they think will happen in the future and to imagine what they think will happen in the future with the rapid development of science and technology.

As for the reading text, it is a business proposal which introduces a virtual reality cinema called RealCine, a new high-tech form of cinema. [教学目标]

1. Students are required to learn some information about how this product works, why it is better than ordinary cinema, and how it can be used in many other ways. 2. By completing the task, the Students increase their interest in science and technology and prepare to make contributions to the development of science. [教学重难点]

[学情分析]

Generally speaking, students in our class don’t pay enough attention to English learning. Some students are not active in the class, and some students don’t like English. However, we teachers should try to develop their ability to help them write a passage about RealCine at the end of the class. [教学步骤]

Step 1 Lead - in movie trailer：Ready Player One: 1．Have you ever seen this film? What’s its name? What’s it about? 2．How does Wade Watts enter the virtual universe “Oasis”? 【设计说明】由于课文中所提到的“RealCine”在现实生活中还不存在，因此，学生较难对这一概念产生直观感受。从学生熟悉的电影预告片出发，用两个问题层层递进，用VR glasses最终引出“RealCine”这一概念，可以激发学生的学习兴趣。

We don’t need to travel any more or spend so much time with friends any more. Virtual reality can provide any necessary features that we need in our life. Opinion 2: Others insist that real life and interpersonal communication should never be replaced by imaginary scenes. People should take off the headsets and experience the real life themselves. Ask students which one they support and why. Divide students into two groups and have a debate.
