Lesson 8 :First,Second,Third

一．教学目标：

1.知识目标：学生能听、说、读、用1——12的序数词. 2.能力目标：

使学生掌握本课所学序数词，并能用序数词进行实际运用。

3.情感、态度、价值观：通过多样性的活动，激发学生学习英语的兴趣，调动积极性，使学生在英语课堂中不断体验成功，感受乐趣。

二．教学重、难点：单词的读音及序数词的实际运用。。

三．教具、学具:单词卡片，PPT 四．教学过程：

（一）Class Opening and Review: 1．Greeting：

Hello. How are you? Nice to meet you.. 2. Warm up Sing the song :Twelve months 3.Review: Ask Ss to count

twelve months one by one and divide the word cards to them.

（二）New Concepts：

1．Look at the picture and introduce “race”. 2.Look at the picture and answer questions:What’s this? What are they doing? What can you see? 3.Show the words:one_first, two_second,three_third.And divide the word cards to them.

4.Describe the picture in English:Li Ming is the first.The girl is the second.The boy in red shorts is the third.(Explain “in”) 5.Ask Ss to say the numbers from4_12, and show the new words:four_fourth,five_fifth,six_sixth,seven_seventh,eight_eighth,nine_ninth,ten_tenth,eleven_eleventh,twelve_twelfth.And divide the word cards to them.

6.Ask Ss to find the differences of the ordinal numbers. And show them: “一、二、三”特殊记，

“八”去t, “九”去e，

ve要用f 替，

th最后加上去。

7. Listen and read 1)Listen to the tape and follow it. 2)Read together. 8.Group work Ask cardinal numbers and answer ordinal numbers in groups, and another student says sentence:January is the first month (of the year),then show their works. 9.Read the sentences together. 10.Exercise Do more exercises. （三）Conclusion To sum up what we’ve learned today！
