What is the basic structure of an argumentative essay?

Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, it seems that mobile phones and computers are taking the place of letter writing. However, I don't agree with this idea. In my opinion, letter writing is of great importance.

In the first place, letter writing has a long history. Since letter writing is one of the most valuable treasures of people, it is sure to last forever. People are used to writing letters to express their ideas and emotions, which is the reason why it is not easy to get rid of it.

In the second place, considering the fact that China is still a developing country, there are still many remote areas where people can’t contact others by mobile phones or computers but by letters. Without letter writing, how can they keep in touch?

In the third place, as for me, mobile phones and computers are so familiar to us that we won’t be thrilled to receive a message or an email sent by others. On the one hand, the excitement of receiving letters from friends is beyond description. While reading letters, I will feel especially happy and excited.

In conclusion, letter writing is vital to all of us. Since most people are unaware of the importance of letter writing, it is high time to take measures to solve the problem. As long as we all pay great attention to letter writing, it will be bound to boom in the near future.

Attending single-sex schools contributes to students’ academic performance. According to a study conducted in Australia among 270,000 students. 88% of them both male and female, showed better results in tests when attending separate schools. In an experiment held in Virginia in 2005,10,000 k-12 graders were separated while studying STEM courses and 96% of the girls were reported to have become more active, confident and achieve better results. The majority of thee students seemed to benefit from this approach, and it proved favorable for girl students learning STEM courses.

Gap year traveling makes students more sociable. Take myself as an example: I used to be shy and afraid of communicating with others. But traveling does open up windows for communication, as I have a lot of tourists sharing similar, if not the same, interests and purposes on the team to work with. It even pushes me to contact others sometimes, as I need to ask for service in a restaurant; or I ask for guidance when I got lost. That makes me more outgoing and ready to engage in interactions.

Being friends with students will somehow affect the teacher’s authority(权威).In fact, the teacher student relationship is commonly built on a not-the-same level basis: students recognize their teacher as an outsider with the power or right to give orders, make decisions and keep order. But teachers’ becoming Facebook friends with students make them personally acquainted with each other and develop a close relationship beyond class. The familiarity may lead to the confusion of identity, which makes it difficult for teachers to discipline and reason with students.
