the Earth is like a ball ,描述某物看起来像什么。
重点
能用Our Earth looks like this in space .and The is like a ball . 描述某物看起来像什么。
难点
(1)动词过去式变化的规则,尤其是部分单词的不规则变化。(2)用已有的科学知识讨论和描述太空和地球的特征。
教具
Word cards, Type, Drawing Instrument Step 1 Warming up 1.师生问候。
2.值日生报告。
3.复述第三单元课文。
4.检查上一课时家庭作业(2)。
T :Did you make a card and send it to your mother? What did you write on it? Was your mother happy? Step 2 Presentation and drill 1.出示太空景色的图片。
T:Now I want to show you something interesting and exciting. Look at the pictures. There are so many beautiful stars in the sky. These stars make up space. 板书并教学单词space。
T(指着太空图片):What are in space? S:There is the sun/the moon/the earth…
Teach”earth”
T:Do you enjoy the views in space? Ss:Yes. T:So you are interested in space.(将单词卡片interested贴在黑板上,带读) I am interested in space. I am interested in music, too. What are you interested in? S:I’m interested in sports/pop songs/films/…(帮助学生回答)
2.T:I have a little nephew. He is ten years old. He is really interested in space. Last weekend, his parents took him to the Space Museum. 将单词卡片Space Museum贴在黑板上,带读。
3.听课文B部分录音,跟读。
游戏—— Guess, guess, guess!(猜一猜!) 教师将单词卡片藏在身后,学生猜单词,猜对的学生充分小老师继续游戏。
游戏——Making sentences (连词成句) 将全班学生分成四组进行游戏,用所给词语重新排列组合成一句连贯的句子。回答最快且正确的一级可获得一面红旗,最后红旗最多的一组为胜。(把连词成句的题目事先写在小黑板上,用纸盖住,每次只出示一道题)

T:Look at Peter. Where was he? (He was in the Space Museum.) What was Peter watching? Let’s read the text and find the answers. Who did Peter visit the Space Museum with? (He visited the Space Museum with his mother.) Did Peter enjoy the film? (Yes, he did.)
What did he do the next day? (He went to the library and borrowed a book about space.) 2.听课文A部分录音,模仿正确的语音、语调,掌握新词难句的正确读法。 Step 4 Intensive reading 1.精读课文A部分,然后两人一组口头完成课文C部分练习。(注意动词的过去式)
2.完成书面练习,教师与学生核对答案后让几位学生大声地读出答案。
3.听课文C部分录音,跟读。 Step 5 Consolidation 1.带领学生一赶快回忆课文内容,引导学生找出关键词,并板书。然后让学生根据关键词,两人一组复述课文。
2.评价。对学生的复述做出评价,给予肯定与鼓励,培养学生的表达能力。
3.练习(见《练习册》P13-15)
4.家庭作业。
1)听磁带,抄单词,复述课文。
2)查找并收集关于太空的资料
板书设计:Unit 5 Our earth looks like this in space. the Earth , land and river , Space Museum , the sun , stars , the moon 本课书课文理解不是很难,但是有点枯燥,学生兴趣不是很高
