Jill was in Uncle George’s new house. It was rainy. It was raining heavily outside. Jill couldn’t go out. She didn’t like the rain. But Uncle George liked the rain. It helped his plants grow. Jill stayed in the living room. She saw three photos of her uncle on the wall. It was sunny and hot on the first photo. Uncle George liked the sun. It made his plants strong. It was windy on the second photo. Uncle George didn’t like the wind. It blew his plants down. It was snowy on the last photo. Uncle George liked snowy weather. It was so beautiful outside.

Jill: Dear uncle, can I go out and play now? George: I’m afraid you can’t. Jill: Why? What’s the weather like today? George: It’s rainy. Listen! It’s raining heavily outside. Jill: Oh, I don’t like the rain. I don’t like rainy weather. I can’t go out. George: But I like the rain. It helps my plants grow.

Jill stays in Uncle George’s house. She sees three photos of her uncle’s on the wall. Jill: Look at this photo. What season was it? George: It was summer. Jill: What was the weather like that day? George: It was sunny and hot. Jill: Do you like the sun? George: Yes, I like the sun. It makes my plants strong. Jill: I don’t like sunny weather in summer. It’s too hot outside.

Jill: Oh, Uncle George. This photo is interesting. What season was it? George: It was autumn. Jill: What was the weather like that day? George: It was windy and cool. Jill: Do you like the wind? George: No, I don’t like the wind. It blows my plants down. Jill: I like windy weather. I can fly a kite in the park.

一、教学目标

⑴.能用形容词rainy, sunny, windy, snowy等来描述天气，并能在语境中区分名词与形容词的区别。

⑵.在语境中学会使用一般现在时What is the weather like? 来询问现在的天气，用一般过去式What was the weather like？来询问过去的天气。并会用一般过去式来描述天气，例如：It was sunny that day. ⑶.在语境中理解并运用所学内容，会描述自己对天气的喜好和原因，掌握动词词组help…grow, make…strong, blow…down. 2.过程与方法
