一、教材分析

本单元的主题是月份连同具体日期；语言功能是询问节日及生日的日期，以及在相应的日子里将要做的事情；学习任务为

“When is your birthday / Easter /…?”

“What will you do …?”。

二、学情分析

本课的教学对象是五年级学生，他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇，具有一定的英语学习的积极性和主动性，具备了一定的英语语言运用能力，求知欲增强。因此，在新知识传授的同时，教师应尽可能多地为学生创造良好的语言环境，给学生充足的语言“习得”机会，让学生在学习中积极参与、大胆发言，从而形成积极的情感态度和自主学习的能力。

三、教学目标

（一）知识目标

1.

能够完成“Let’s try”听力题。

2.

理解“Let’s talk”大意，并按照正确的语音、语调朗读对话，进行角色表演。

（二）能力目标

1. 能听、说并认读下列句子：“When is your birthday?”“It’s on April 4th.”“What will you do for your mum?”“I’ll cook noodles for her.”

2. 能够在情景中运用句型“When is ….?”“It’s on…”询问并回答某节日所处的月份及日期。

（三）情感目标

为学生创设轻松、愉悦、和谐的英语课堂学习气氛，使学生在学习中敢于开口说英语，并引导学生在妈妈的生日或母亲节等特定节日应该为母亲做些什么，培养学生对父母的感恩之心。

四、教学要点分析

（一）教学重点

1.

能听、说并认读下列句子：

“What will you do for your mum?”“I’ll cook noodles for her.”等

2. 能够在情景中运用句型“When is ….?”“It’s on…”询问并回答某节日所处的月份及日期。

（二）教学难点

能够核心句型“When is your birthday?”“It’s on April 4th.”中不断强化训练序数词，从而掌握具体日期的英语表达。

多媒体课件、小组竞赛评价卡片等。

六、教学过程

Step 1 Warm-up 1. Greeting T: What day is it today?

What’s the date today?

What will you do after school today?

Yeah, but I will buy a birthday cake after school. Because today is my son’s birthday. My son’s birthday is May 10th.

It’s on May 10th. So when is your birthday? 【设计意图】：通过课前师生问答复习之前所学知识点——周几、日期等，并让学生在回答自己生日月份或日期的同时，复习in/on的用法，让学生初步感知Let’s talk对话中的核心句型。

2. Review the numbers:

(1) Count from 1st to 20th .

T: Well, children. Can you count from 1st to 20th? OK, let’s count together. 全班齐读两遍（课件）

(2) Quick eyes （课件出示复习序数词，小组竞赛速度）

(3) Play a game : What’s missing? （课件播放游戏，个别回答，小组竞赛）

【设计意图】：复习本单元重难点词汇——序数词，设计循序渐进，从简到难的操练活动，让学生从熟练认读序数词，为后面对话中日期的表达做铺垫。

Step 2 Presentation 1. Leading-in ：Sing a song When is your birthday?

It’s in May.

It’s May 1st.

It’s on May 1st. What will you do on your birthday?

I will eat a big cake. 【设计意图】：利用学生熟悉的儿歌旋律，代入核心句型操练，进一步强化学生对核心句型的感知。

2. 课件出示婴儿图片，引入“Let’s try”

T: Who’s this baby? He’s so cute! When is the baby’s birthday?

Now let’s listen and answer.

3. Teach “Let’s talk”

(1) Listen and watch the video. T: Well, The cute baby is Mike’s new cousin. His birthday is on March 2nd. Then when is Mike’s birthday? Let’s watch and see.

(2) Answer the questions. （边问答边板书）

a. When is Mike’s birthday? b. When is Chen Jie’s mother’s birthday? c. What will Chen Jie do for her mum? d. What will they do on that day?

(3) Explain “both of you”

(4) Repeat and read together 全班跟读---齐读对话

(5) Read and fill in the blank 课件：设计课文对话填空, 并读一读，为背诵课文做铺垫

【设计意图】：由前面的听力环节引入Mike的生日，自然过渡到新授对话的学习上。在对话的学习中，设计相关问题，让学生从对话中找答案进行回答，培养学生阅读理解能力及对语言语境的感知能力。在教授完对话内容之后，通过全班齐读操练对话，再到对话内容的填空，这一设计使学生能快速记忆对话内容，并实现当堂背诵对话。

Step 3 Practice 1.Pair work When is your birthday? It’s Jan.1st. / It’s on Jan.1st. 小组活动：同桌问答，询问对方生日日期，并选四组进行展示。

【设计意图】：采用口头问答形式实现个别操练句型，巩固日期用法。

I’ll___________. Then read together, ask and answer. 【设计意图】：通过图片引导学生进行填空，提供可供学生选择的生日活动项目，全班齐读问答之后引导学生进行同桌对话。

的理解和运用，并对学生进行感恩母亲的情感教育。

【设计意图】：完成课本中的口语练习。

Step 5 Summary 结合板书，引导学生用所学句型“When is ….birthday?”“It’s on…”“What will you do for your mom?”“I’ll……”对本课时的对话学习进行归纳总结和评价。

T: Today we know Mike’s birthday and Chen Jie’s mum’s birthday are on the same day. When is Mike’s birthday?

It’s on April 4th.

When is Chen Jie’s mum’s birthday?

It’s on April 4th , too.

Then what will Chen Jie do for her mum?

She’ll cook for her.

So they will have a birthday party together!

同桌根据课文对话内容进行新的对话，并填写对话练习。

教学反思

本课的教学对象是五年级学生，他们已经掌握了一定的英语词汇，具有一定的英语学习的积极性和主动性，具备了一定的英语语言运用能力，求知欲增强。因此，在新知识传授的同时，我尽可能多地为学生创造良好的语言环境，给学生充足的语言“习得”机会，让学生在学习中积极参与、大胆发言，从而形成积极的情感态度和自主学习的能力。

本课时要求学生掌握核心句型”When is you birthday?”

“It’s on…”以及“What will you do for your mum?”

“I’ll cook noodles for her.”并要求学生能在实际情景中运用。我在教学对话前的引入环节进行师生对话进行铺垫。巩固操练环节设计了一系列循序渐进的口头操练及笔头练习，如“Pair work”

互相询问对方生日，根据图片回答“What will you do on your birthday?”等。对话中的的“both of you”,是需要突破的难点，我通过结合根据对话回答问题以及板书带过这一难点。

另外，本课时的学习需要学生熟练地掌握序数词在日期中的运用。所以我在

教授新课前的热身环节设计了“Count the numbers”, “Quick eyes”, “What’s missing?”, “Let’s sing”四个操练复习环节，进一步巩固学生对序数词以及日期的运用。

本课不足之处在于后期时间的把握上，在拓展环节“What will you do for your mum on Mother’s Day?”上可以只请一两名学生上来读作文便可，这样后面的第二道笔头看图和提示词造句的练习应该就可以当堂完成，而无需留为家庭作业。

今后，我将更加踏实努力，不断学习，更新知识系统，完善教学过程，没有最好，只有更好！
