1、学习者分析:五年级学生以经学过两年多英语,已经积累了一定的词汇和语法知识,在课堂活动中能够应尽量调动起她们的用英语来表达的积极性。

2、学习内容分析:本课很多词句学生都已学过,生词不多,理解起来较容易,谚语是学生初次接触,感觉很新鲜。而且很多孩子都去过长城,所以这个故事很容易能引起共鸣。

1、能听懂并读懂故事。

2、能朗读故事并在老师的帮助下表演故事。

学习策略目标:

1、在学习中集中注意力,初步尝试各种阅读策略:寻读,略读,速读,等。

2、对所学内容能主动练习和实践。

3、积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。

1、学生有兴趣听故事,读故事,积极参与各项活动。

2、提倡学生文明旅行,爱护文明古迹。

五、教学过程:

Class Opening:

1 greetings:

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Ss: Good morning, Miss Liu.

2 Talk:

T: Spring is coming. Do you want to go outside to play? To travel?

T: Where do you want to go?

T: Good. Go on. This time, all the boys read together. Boys: It’ s red and yellow. It’s about six hundred years old. There are many houses in it.

T: Where is it?

S2:It’s the Palace Museum.

The same way:It’s Wangfujing Street.It’s the Great Wall. 2)Talk about these places

T: Let’s talk about these places. What do you know about Tian'anmen Square? / the Palace Museum?/Wangfujing Street?/ the Great Wall?

T: The Great Wall is so great, but I have never been to the Great

Wall. Have you ever been to the Great Wall? Today, our friends will go to the Great Wall with us. Try to get Who? How? When? What? How old? How long? Before our new lesson ,let’s look at your paper, There are six pictures in lesson12,if you can read each one very good, you can draw a flag on it .Now let’s look and listen。

2、While reading:

1)T: Can you understand the main meaning? Answer questions, one,Who is going to the Great Wall?

T: (Draw a bus.)When do they go to the Great Wall?

3)Look at picture 3. Read pic3 quietly and underline. How old is the oldest part?

T: Pay attention to “the”. What’ s the meaning of “oldest”“more than”? The first one is 73 years old. The second one is 70 years old. The third one is 85 years old. Who is the oldest? Old-older-oldest.

T: The two people’s age is more than 70 years old.

But the third one is more than 80 years old. Understand? 4)T: Look at pic 4. Read pic 4 quickly. What’s the Chinese saying about the Great Wall?
