IV.Teaching process Step 1 Warming up 1.Let students say the words about subjects. 2.Make a short conversation in pairs by using the different subjects. Step 2 Listening Work on 1b. 1.Listen to the tape of 1b,then check(√) the words you hear in 1a. 2.Try to write some other adjectives according to 1a. Work on 1c. 1.
Scan the time table and find out what classes David have from Monday to Friday. 2.
Listen to the tape and circle the classes David talk about on his schedule. Step 3 Presentation 1.Show a picture of calendar.Teaching students from Sunday to Monday. 2.Let students read them together and recite them. 3.Listen to a song named “Days of the week”.
4.Present the using of “on+星期几”。
Step 4 Group work
1.Complete the conversation in 1d. 2.Practice the conversation in pairs. 3.Act it out in front of the whole class. Language points 1.free空闲的
free(not busy)作形容词,意为“空闲的”,其反义词为busy(忙碌的;无暇的)。

2.cool妙极的;酷的
cool为形容词,可在句中作定语和表语。
He is very cool in red.他穿着红衣服,太酷了。

Today is a cool day.今天天气很凉爽。

3.A.M.上午;P.M.下午
A.M.意为“上午”,也可用am或a.m.表示;P.M.意为“下午”,也可用pm或p.m.表示。
在西方通常是以正午十二点为界,午前十二小时用A.M.,午后十二小时用P.M.表示。其用
法结构为“数字+A.M./P.M.”,相当于“数字+in the morning/afternoon/evening”。
9 A.M.=9 in the morning上午九点
3 P.M.=3 in the afternoon下午三点
