Lesson 7 Months of the Year

一、学习者分析

四年级的学生经过了一年多的英语学习,对英语的好奇心和兴趣开始逐步从起步时的会读、会说几个单词向会说会用的阶段转变。大部分学生对英语有着浓厚的兴趣,渴望获得更多的知识。本课在继续培养学生学习兴趣和听说能力的同时,采用符合学生心理特点的教学方法和教学手段,坚持听说领先,有计划地培养学生的读写能力,特别是对于个别学习上有困难的学生,教师要耐心采取积极鼓励的方法,创设生动活泼的课堂气氛,调动他们的学习积极性。

二、学习内容分析

本单元中将学习月份单词、序数词、重要节日以及描述天气状况的词汇。同时学习表达日期、生日和描述天气的句子结构。本课是整个单元中的第一课,重点学习十二个月份单词和日期的写法,学生在第三册书中已经接触过,因此学生并不陌生,但是由于这些单词都比较长,难记忆,我设计了chant、游戏等活动让学生通过操练掌握12个月份单词,让学生在玩中学,乐中记。

三、教学目标:

㈠知识目标

1、学生能听、说、读、写四会单词:month, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.

2、学生能听懂并运用下列句型:

What's your favourite month ?My favourite month is…

Whose birthday is in …? My birthday is in …

3.学生能唱歌曲Twelve Months。

㈡能力目标

引导学生积极参与教学活动,实现完成认知目标任务,培养合作探究、自主学习、活学活用的能力。

㈢情感态度目标

激发学生的积极情感,培养合作与创新精神,增强竞争意识。教会学生在认知和经历交流的过程中大胆面对困难,在实践中得到情感交流,凸现个性。

㈣学习策略目标

培养学生的观察力、思维能力和想象力。

四教学重难点

1、掌握13个单词的记忆及发音;掌握本课的重点句子。

2、本课重点句子在日常生活中的应用。

五、教学准备

多媒体课件、数字卡片、12个月份的单词卡、一本大日历。

六、教学过程

(一) Class Opening and Review

1. Greeting

T: Hello, boys and girls.

S: Hello, teacher.

T: How are you today?

S: I’m fine, thanks. And you?

T: I’m very well, thank you.

T: Nice to meat you.

S: Nice to meat you, too.

(设计意图:通过学生熟悉的问候语与学生进行交流,帮助学生寻找语感,活跃气氛,尽快进入英语课堂。)

2. Let's count from 1 to 12 。Let's begin!

S: one, two three four……

T: (S how the card of “twelve”).What is it?

S: Twelve.

T: Good! This is twelve.

(设计意图:此游戏旨在复习1到12的数字,同时也是为后面作铺垫,并且最后一个数字停在12,让学生动脑筋去想与12有关的事物,以旧带新,自然引出新内容。)

(二). New Concepts

1. 运用台历引入课题。

T: How many days are there in a week?

S: Seven.

T: How many months are there in a year?

S: Month?

教学month并板书课题,领读,学生跟读。利用卡片mouth与month对比记忆。再解释months是month的复数形式。

T: How many months are there in a year?

S:12个月。

T: Twelve months. Let's learn“ Lesson 7 Months of the Year”领读课题。

2、放视频跟读学习12个月份。

(设计意图:先放视频跟读让学生对月份有一个整体的认识。听音跟读是必不可少的一个教学环节,帮助学生掌握标准优美的语音语调。在师领读前激发了学生学习的兴趣。)

3、师领读,再一起读。

T: These are the twelve months of the year…

January “ry” pronounce / ri /。 Read after me, please. T: February. “ry” al so pronounce / ri /.同理教学一直到12月学完后一起拍手读:

一月一月,January,January ,January(升降调读)

二月二月,February,February, February,

…一直读到12月。

(设计意图:一起拍手读记忆单词,增强自信,活跃气氛,激发兴趣。) 4、找特点,记单词。

T: How do you remember these words?

先小组讨论,再让几个学生说这些单词的特点。如:January、February 最后4个字母都是uary;September、October、November、December最后4个字母都是ber

(设计意图:通过观察讨论培养学生的思维能力,观察能力,语言表达能力。)

5、师介绍12个月份的简写形式。

T: It’s not easy to remember these words. Please look at their shorthand forms. What do you find?

让学生说这些单词缩写形式的特点(出示课件)

6、Practice to read these words in pairs.

7、Play a game :I ask you answer.

For example: I say “May”, you say “五月”,I say “五月”,you say “May”. You can stand up to answer

(设计意图:运用学生喜欢的游戏激发学生的积极性,达到记忆单词的目的,让学生快乐的学。)

8、放PPT课件再次感受月份

T: These are the twelve months of the year. What's your favourite month ?(板书)Look! Do you know which month it is?

S: 1月.

T: January. New Year's Day is in (January.)(让学生一起说括号里的单词,看图片知道是新年,会说January.)

T: Which month is it?

S: 6月. June.

T:Children's Day is in ( June ) (出示课件)

T: Do you like it?

S: Yes.

用此方法播放7张图片,同时渗透德育教育

(设计意图:通过播放PPT课件再次感受月份单词,形象直观,把月份和

学生比较感兴趣的节日相联系,易于接受。帮助学生记忆掌握单词生活化,不再是单独枯燥的教与学。)

9.引入新句型

T: Of all months , what's your favourite month ?提问几个同学.You can say “My favourite month is…(板书)领读,可以利用卡片领读。

10. Practice the dialogue in pairs.

11.演示

I’ll ask two students to come here, one asks, the other answers .Who wants to try?

(设计意图:通过上台演示以达到熟练重点句子的目的。同时利用对话导出下一个环节)

T: Your favourite month is…Why?

S:我的生日在这个月。

T: Her birthday is in …Happy birthday to you! Whose birthday is in…? You can say “My birthday is in ...”

12.播放视频。

Look here. Our country’s birthday is in October. Whose birthday is in October? (too)解释,领读,用卡片替换读句子

13.看视频,听录音。播放书中19页句子。

14. Let's play a game.

I ask “Whose birthday is in October?” You rush to answer “My birthday is in October ” Who is the fastest.谁最快给谁月份卡片,拿

着卡片到台上。也可以让学生一个一个地问。最后按顺序站成一排并读出自己拿的月份。Twelve months make a year. This is our song“Twelve Months”

15、Let's sing “Twelve Months”。(看视频)

(设计意图:以一首月份歌曲来活跃课堂气氛,里面还加入了游戏环节,这是对本课新内容的一个小结,既巩固了单词同时也培养了学生学英语的兴趣。)
