How old are you? I’m nine. You are three and you are ten. 情感目标：体会学习英语的乐趣，乐于说英语，用英语交流。

教学准备: word cards, stickers, ppt. 教学过程: Step 1 Warm-up 1. Greet the kids in English.

T: Now, class begins.

Ss: Stand up. T: Hello, everyone.

Ss: Hello, Miss Wen.

T: How are you, boys and girls?

Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And how are you, Miss Wen?

T: I’m fine, too. Thank you. Sit down, please. 2. Sing a song “Ten little fingers”.

3. Have a test to revise the numbers:

Look and say the numbers as fast as you can. Step 2 Presentation 1. Read the text of Unit 1 together. 2. Ask a question: How old are you, Sam? Step 3 New Teaching 1. Teach the new word: old

Teach the phrase: how old

Teach the sentence: How old are you, Sam? 2. According to Unit 1, help the Ss answer the question: I’m nine. 3. Show the Ss a picture of Amy, ask: How old are you, Amy? Let the Ss count the candles on the birthday cake, then answer: Ss: I’m eight. 4. Ask and answer with some Ss:

T: How old are you?

S1: I’m eight.

T: Yes, you are eight. Have the kids ask and answer in pairs of 2. And then ask some groups to act out their dialogues. 5. Listen and match.

Ask the Ss to open their books, and turn to page 36.

Play the sound recording for the Ss, let them listen carefully and match the right age.

Listen again and then check the answers. 6. Learn Activity 1.

Look, there is a pander, how old is the pander? Three.

How old is the monkey? Ten.

Have the Ss read the text of Activity 1 together. 7. Learn Activity 2.

Show the Ss a picture, ask: Who are they? Sam, Amy and Daming. Ask the second question: How old is Daming?

Play the flash for the kids.

Answer the question: Daming is nine, too.

Teach the Ss to read the text, then let them read together. Step 4 Practice 1. Read the text by themselves in different roles. 2. Show Time:

Practice the dialogue, then act out it.

S1: Look, I’m nine. How old are you?

S2: I’m nine, too.

S1: Nine? Haha. You’re six.

S2: Oh, I’m nine.

3. Learn the song: “How old are you, Sam?”

Read the words of the song.

Learn to sing the song. Step 5 Homework 1. Ask four classmates“How old are you?”，and then write down the answers.

2. Teach parents to sing the song: “How old are you, Sam?”
