教学目标：

a.语言知识目标：掌握leaves back的读音，并会在具体的语句中认读；会运用功能句Kangaroos live in Australia.以及课文当中的句子谈论自己喜欢的动物培养发散思维，提高交流运用能力。

b.语言技能目标：学生能运用所学句型。通过描述动物图片或视频资料，在趣味活动中运用句型,锻炼自己的语言表达能力及英语思维。

c.情感态度目标：提高自己的综合语言运用能力，每一个学生都能积极主动参与英语学习活动，发挥主动性和积极性，增强英语学习的信心。

教学重点、难点与关键：

重点：谈论动物（住、吃、喝、动作等）。

难点：谈论动物生活习性。

关键：创设多种有效的教学情境和活动，通过多种途径进行感知、操练和运用。

【学生分析】

本模块通过Amy和Lingling 谈论澳大利亚的情况，训练Why和because用法。

因此教师应该创设情境，让学生掌握所学的功能句，并在实际情况当中体会运用。

【教学准备】

CAI、录音机，磁带、词条及有关袋鼠的视频资料等。

教学流程：

Step 1 Warm-up T：Let’s sing a song OK? T:Play the flash .Ss:sing and clap.T:Let’s talk about this song.What is this girl doing ?Why is she looking at the sky?Ss:Because she lost the Kangaroo kite.T:This girl likes Kangaroos very much.I also like kangaroos .What about you ?

Step 2 Presentation and lead in 1、Leading：What do you know about kangaroos? Ss:Kangaroos live in Australia. Australia is also called “country riding on the sheep’s back”.So in Australia,we can see lots of sheep.Here pay attention ,plural and singular forms of sheep are the same.引出新课.T：watch the video and answer the question. Question:What does the sheep eat and drink? Ss:It eats grass and drinks water. T:Does the sheep want to eat ice-cream? Why? 2.呈现任务Enable to introduce your favourite animal.

T:You know I like kangaroos because they are special .Do you want to know more about kangaroos?Let’s enjoy a movie about kangaroos.T:Play the movie about kangaroos.Ss:Enjoy then answer the question :What else do you know about kangaroos from this movie? Step 3 Text teaching 1.

Leading:From this movie we know more about kangaroos .What does the text say about kangaroos ? 2.

Listen and answer:How do the Kangaroos jump? 3.

Teach:back ,pay attention ,the letter “a ”pronunces.else jump on their back legs. Practise the word--back. 4.Listen and repeat. T:Play the tape. Ss:listen and copy the intonation. 5.Read and answer: Questions:① What does the mother kangaroo have? ② What do the kangaroos eat and drink ? ③ Can we see kangaroos in China?
