1. 1. up to now nobody has been able to do this better than Charlie Chaplin. Eg: Up to now I haven’t heard from her . 直到现在我都没有收到她的来信。 注意：

多用于现在完成时。 常用于现在完成时相关短语： since, over the years(这么多年来), until now so far, by now, in the last/past +一段时间

n．内容；目录；容量；满足；

be （well）content with 对……..(非常)满意

归纳：badly off 做“穷的,缺少的”。而当讲“缺少的”时常与介词for搭配使用; badly off 的比较级是worse off,常与than 连用。 Eg.We are badly off for time to play. 我们缺少玩的时间。

反义词：

off 富裕的，富有的

better off 境况更好

注意：cut off中断；切断 cut in eg: Don’t cut in while we are talking .

cut down eg: Bald guy Qiang cut down a tree. cut up eg: Charlie cut up the meat on his plate. cut out eg: The doctor cut out my tonsils (扁桃体). 5. Charlie Chaplin wrote ,directed and produced the films he starred in. 1）star in 在………担任主角；主演
