（Revise the past participle as the adverbial）

教材分析

本节课聚焦过去分词作状语这一高中阶段重要的语法。因为学生已经学习过这一部分语法，本节课主要从复习过去分词作状语基本用法和突破重难点为主。为了实现教学目标，我在教学过程中主要采取了观察归纳法、示范法、小组合作引导学生认识问题、分析问题、解决问题。为了巩固教学成果，我参考当前的常考题型如单句改错、短文填空设置了与教学内容紧密相关的作业题，最后通过用所学语法改写文章段落来进行巩固提升。

学情分析

本班学生在必修阶段已经学习过非谓语结构的过去分词做状语结构，对过去分词有一定的了解。但是，他们基础相对薄弱，过去分词结构又是语法中较难的一块，学生已有的知识并不牢固，也不足以运用自如。因此，再次学习中要做好做到循序渐进从的复习与突破。

Teaching aims: At the end of the class, the students will be able to

(1) learn the basic rules of the past participle as the adverbial.

(2) grasp the usage of the past participle as adverbial in different sentence patterns. (3)

develop ability to explore the rules by the inductive approach Teaching key and difficult points: (1) master the difference between the past participle and the present participle as the adverbial. (2) use the past participle as the adverbial correctly and practice what they have learned into their writing. Teaching methods: Task-based method, teamwork Teaching tools: Multi-media, blackboard, textbook,

Teaching steps: Step 1: Introduction(2minutes) Introduce the learning aims of the class, and let students read them together. 【To make the aims of the class clear】

Step 2:leading in (3minutes) (1) Teacher (T) shows three pictures and then encourage students (Ss) to describe each picture with one sentence in which the past participle is used as the adverbial. 【To lead to the grammar in a interesting way】

(2) Then T lead Ss to conclude the function of the past participle after observation .

【to encourage Ss to think and find the rules independently】

Step 3: Review the basic rules and break through key and difficult points (1) Ss review the basic function of the past participle as the adverbial with T together. (2) T give Ss sentences and lead them to tell the different usage and forms of the past participle as the adverbial in a progressive way.

【To make Ss conclude and then further understand the four forms by themselves. 】

(3) T show the task and after finishing the task, Ss will be given minutes to think of their ways of dealing with the questions. With the help of T, Ss can work out the procedures of applying the past participle in the exam. 【Ss can make sure the key and difficult points in this part and how to master them】

(4) T will give the related tasks. Ss work individually to use the correct past participle form to complete the sentences. 【To help Ss strengthen the application of the past participle in exercises】

Steps 4 Application and presentation According to what Ss have learnt, T will give Ss tasks, including filling the blanks with nonfinite verbs and rewriting the passage by changing the simple sentences into advanced sentences. Ss finish the first part individually and then finish the second part in group.

Step5: Homework

Review the grammar. Finish the exercises using structures in workbook. 【To consolidate the knowledge】
