本课教学内容是《义务教育教科书英语（PEP）（三年级起点）（2013年版）五年级上册Unit 4 What can you do?

的C.Story time部分，故事围绕Rat and Snake。本部分呈现的是田鼠如何机智地逃过被蛇吃掉的厄运，在紧张的故事情节发展中复习巩固本单元核心词汇与句型。What can you do? I can... Can you...? Yes, I can / No, I can't. 以及多个动词及动词词组。帮助学生通过图片和上下文理解句子的意思，如：Don’t throw me into the lake, please! Silly snake! 这一故事教学的目的是让学生在阅读中进一步复习和巩固本单元的知识，并得以有效拓展

Students analysis: 本课时的教学对象是本校五年级学生，他们已有一定的英语基础，有听、说、读、写技能，积累了一定的词汇量。能够积极进行自主学习、合作学习以及自觉地完成任务。

Teaching Aims and requirements：

1.Knowledge and abilities 1).Enable the students to grasp the whole meaning of the story. 2).Get to know the meaning of “rat, snake, tasty, lake, silly, away”and pronounce them clearly；

Ⅲ While-reading task 1、Show the pictures of the story.(PPT) According to the questions above and answer them. 2、Decomposing story into pieces. Ask the students imitate the

pronunciation and intonation while enjoying the story. 3.Have the students find out the answers according to the key sentences. 4、Meanwhile let some students act out the story. 【设计意图：故事表演是一项学生喜欢的教学活动。中、高年级的小学生了解一些有趣的童话故事，用英语去表演对他们来说是一件非常新鲜、有趣的事。因此，在读后环节我们可以运用多媒体课件为学生提供丰富多彩的故事背景画面，同时提供机会，让他们参与到故事表演中来，完整演绎故事内容。表演后所获得的成就感会促使学生不断地去揣摩故事的内容，进一步学习新的英语知识，以获得新的成功体验。这样，学生就真正成为了学习的主体。】

Secondly, According to the law of the People’s Republic of China on the protection of wild animals. We should protect and save rare endangered wild animals.To develop and use reasonable wild life resources. In order to maintain the ecological balance .Tomorrow will be better and better. 【讲述小动物对人类的好处：如猫捉老鼠、蜜蜂采蜜、青蛙吃害虫等，让学生了解动物与人类应是和谐、共处的关系。根据《中华人民共和国野生动物保护法》给学生渗透相关的法制教育知识，让学生知道保护、拯救珍贵、濒危野生动物，发展和合理利用野生动物资源，来维护生态平衡。】
