Teaching procedure:

Step 1:Warm-up

1.Greetings

2.Enjoy the song “ABC songs”. ABCDEFG,father mother and me;CDEFGAB,sing and dance under the tree.

3.Show a tree----a family tree to Ss.

4.Review the words: Read the new words.

5.Free talk:Show a family photo of the student and make up a dialogue.Review the important sentence----Who’s that?He’s my..../She’s my....

Step2:Presentation

1. Story time

(1)Play the flash and let Ss know what’s the story about.

(2)Learn the difficult points in the story.

A. actress: Show several pictures of stars to learn actress and actor.

B. Wait a minute! Review the part in Recycle2 Read in last term.

C. How beautiful! Show some beautiful pictures.Teacher can read the sentence in an exaggerated voice.Let Ss understand the meaning of this sentence and also can appreciate the beautiful things.

(3)Teacher read the story sentence by sentence and slow down the speed.

Step3:Practice

(4)Work in groups and discuss the following questions:

A. Who’s that woman?

B. Is she beautiful?

C. What does she do? (What’s she? / What’s her job?)

(5)Answer the question and check the answers.

(6)Listen to the flash and read after it.The close the book and retell the story.

(7)Let Ss act it out.

Step4: Assessment

1.Draw pictures and make a family tree.

2.According to the picture of Zoom’s father, guess what does he do.(boss)Then make

up a new dialogue for Zoom and Zip, just like:

----Who’s that man?

----He’s my father.

----He’s handsome.

----Thank you.

----My dad is a boss.

----Really?

----Wait a minute!

----Look at me!

----Handsome!

----Zoom!How handsome!

Step5:Consolidation

Chant the song “I love my family”and let Ss share the love story of their family. Step6:Homework
