一、教材分析

本套教材注重学生语言运用能力的培养,教学内容紧密联系学生的生活实际,本课是《新标准英语》(一年级起点)四年级下册第九模块第二单元。本模块的话题是Australian animals,功能是Talking about the life habit of animals。本单元的侧重的是介绍动物的特征和生活习性。

二、学情分析

本课出自新标准英语一年级起点四年级下册。孩子们从三年级升到四年级,正处于小学中段。经过四年的英语学习生活,他们能够理解教师简单的课堂用语,并且积极主动地参加活动。学生在第一单元意见学习了Why...? Because 的句型,本单元主要操练和巩固。学生对于动物非常感兴趣,乐意主动参与任务的学习。

三、设计理念

设计理念方面,教师根据新课标理念, 以人为本,面向全体,让学生通过感知,体验,实践,参与,合作交流来实现任务目标;

在课程设计方面,教师紧紧围绕本单元动物的特征和生活习性这一主题,最终通过小组汇报的形式向全班介绍澳大利亚的两种动物生活习性。

在师生地位方面,教师在整个活动中只起一个活动者,组织者,指导者,参与者的作用,积极创设各种真实有效的情境,引导学生在任务驱动下乐于用英语做事情,留出足够的时间和空间给学生,鼓励学生用中学,学中用,学以致用。

四、教学目标

(一)语言知识

1.全体学生能理解并运用单词back 2.全体学生能操练句型Why...? Because... (二)语言技能

1.全体学生能够听懂、会用live in, eat, drink, jump等动词介绍动物的特征和生活习性

2.全体学生能拼写词汇back。

3. 全体学生能朗读课文。

(三)情感态度

全体学生能够积极尝试使用英语描述动物的特征和生活习性

(四)学习策略

全体学生能够积极尝试与他人合作完成任务

(五)文化意识

学生乐于接触澳大利亚以及其他国家的关于动物的概况。

五、教学重点

1.熟练掌握本课单词back和描述动物生活习性的语句;

2.能够运用live in eat drink jump等动词介绍自己喜欢的动物。

1.对袋鼠生活习性的描述。

I Review 3’

1 Talk about the pictures of the animals 谈论动物图片

T: Boys and girls, first, let’s look at some pictures of the animals.(出示动物图片) T: What animals do you like? Ss: I like... T: Why do you like them? 2 Review Why...? Because 引导学生回答Because they are ... 3.

Look and say 引导学生看图说句子,两人小组问答练习

T:Now, let’s look and say in pairs. T: 出示ppt动物图片带形容词

T: Do you like cats? S1: Yes. T: Why do you like cats? Ss: Because they are lovely. S1: Why do you like dogs? S2: Because they are helpful.

S3: Why do you like elephants? S4: Because they are fat. S5: Why do you like pandas? S6: Because they are strong. (设计意图:通过动态的动物图片调动学生的学习兴趣,消除师生间的陌生感,活跃课堂气氛,营造和谐、宽松的学习氛围,让学生很快把注意力集中到课堂教学中来。同时针对这些图片,同桌两人进行问答练习,既复习了上节课的重点句型,Why...? Because 又为本节课的动物话题的学习做好了铺垫。)

T:They drink water (教师引导学生说) 板书 drink Ss: They drink water. T: Today let’s learn something about animals教师画云图并板书animals (设计意图:直接呈现任务,学生明确学习目标,带着目的学习本课。)

III Text learning 10’

1 Guess a riddle T: Boys and girls. Now look at this riddle. Let’s guess what animal it is. T: They live in Australia. They have small heads, long ears, strong legs and long tails(尾巴)。They eat grass and leaves. They drink water.They can’t run on their four legs. But they can jump with their two powerful(有力的) legs and feet。

T: What animal? Ss: Guess kangaroos

(设计意图:通过学生猜谜语的形式,教师引出了本课的话题kangaroos,学生在听谜语的时候会特别认真,特别感兴趣,精力会特别集中,为下一步学习做好准备。) 2 Present the pictures and words of kangaroos(呈现kangaroos 图片和单词)

T: Yes, I think all of you are very clever.They are kangaroos.(教师出示图片,板书单词kangaroos) T;Who can spell kangaroos? Ss;k a n g a r o o s (设计意图:通过出示图片和学生拼读的形式呈现Kangaroos,学生的学习比较主动,而不是教师被动呈现,学生很自然过渡到kangaroo的学习。)

3 Say kangaroos T:引导学生说 Kangaroos live in Australia. They eat grass and leaves. They drink water. (设计意图:通过教师的引导,学生能够通过谜语的初步感知,说出袋鼠生活在哪里,以及吃什么和喝什么。)

(设计意图:通过教师的引导,学生已经能够说出袋鼠的吃,住,喝。学生对于袋鼠的其他生活也想了解,通过这样一个问题,启发学生努力听音并了解袋鼠的其他生活习性。)

5 learn something more about kangaroos T: What others do you know about kangaroos? 1)引导学生说They jump on their back legs.教师板书jump back 2)操练单词back 先说,再拼写,最后做动作理解。

Back to back. 3)引导学生说The mother kangaroo has a special bag for her baby. 教师板书has (设计意图:通过教师板书的呈现关键词,形成思维导图,学生学习一目了然。对于单词back 的操练既注重了发音,又注重了语境的学习。而且学生对于袋鼠的基本生活习性有了具体的认知。)

6 Listen and repeat T: Now, let’s listen and repeat. Please pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation.注意模仿语音和语调。

(设计意图:跟读录音有助于学生模仿地道的语音和语调,为学生说好英语打好基础。

教师在学生跟读过程中要及时纠正学生在语音语调方面出现的各种错误,同时理解课文,训练学生阅读能力。)

1 Retell something about kangaroos T: According to the blackboard, try to retell something about kangaroos in groups. 根据黑板的板书,四人小组内尝试复述,每人一句话。

Ss: 小组内练习,然后汇报。

S1:Kangaroos live in Australia. S2: They eat grass and leaves. S3: They drink water. S4: They jump on their back legs. The mother kangaroo has a special bag for her baby. (设计意图:通过小组四人复述的形式,让学生在任务的驱动下,运用黑板的关键词来描述袋鼠的生活习性。每个人都有一句话的任务,关注了不同层次的学生。为介绍自己喜欢的动物做铺垫。) 2.

Choose one picture to talk about T: Look at the three pictures. 教师出示三幅图,关于birds, fish, tigers, elephants, cats. Choose one picture to talk about in pairs. 学生两人一组直接选择一幅图片说。

T:Koalas live in Australia. They eat eucalyptus leaves.(桉树叶) They don’t drink water.They have large ears. They look like small bears. The mother koala has a special bag for her baby. They like sleeping in the trees.

T:引导学生根据关键词的提示,说说koalas的生活习性。

2. Talk about your favourite animal My favourite animal is the ____. They live in ______. They eat _____. They drink _____. They are _____. T:Now, let’s talk about your favourite animal by using these sentences. (设计意图:通过语篇介绍澳大利亚的另一个著名的动物,考拉。学生在第一单元已经初步接触到考拉,对于它的生活习性还不是很了解。学生会很有兴趣地想了解考拉的生活习性。激发了学生学习欲望.通过根据关键句型的提示,学生介绍自己喜欢的动物的生活习性,这一活动的设计,主要是帮助学生完成本课学习任务,培养学生综合语言运用能力。)
