1. Learn some new words: Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Day), flag, Flag Day, fly, special, meal, sound, football. 2. Learn some useful sentences: (1)What do you on Thanksgiving Day? (2)We always have a special meal. (3)On Thanksgiving Day we say “thank you” for our food, family and friends. (4) Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.
3.Learn how to use fly/football.

教学反思:六年的学生已经具有了一定的语言基础,探索意识强,兴趣浓厚,愿意大胆开口说英语,乐于积极主动的开展合作学习。本课的教学中,我借助了课件、图片展示法、直观教学法、游戏教学法、情景教学法等丰富实用的教学方法。本节课努力为学生创设真实的情境,如:描述西方的节日,利用PPT、图片和卡片进行单词教学、课文练习等,这些情境贯穿于整个教学过程中,学生在轻松、和谐的氛围中学习语言。本节课进行了充分的听、说、读、演的练习,而且贯穿于各教学环节之中。这些训练比较全面地锻炼了学生的能力,实现了本节课的教学目标。组织学生进行广泛的语言实践活动,通过多种手段激发学生实践的热情,同时积极评价、鼓励合作,努力培养学生的学习积极性和语言交际能力,为孩子们提供了全面发展的学习空间。通过了本课的学习,让学生学会感恩,让他们懂得,感恩于赋予我们生命的父母,感恩于给我们知识的老师,感恩于帮助、关心和爱护我们的那些人,感恩于我们的祖国,感恩于大自然……感恩地活着,才会发觉世界是如此美好。
