Greetings :Good morning/afternoon boys and girls .How are you?

What's the weather like today? What day is it today?

What's the date today?

Nice to see you again . The Ss greet me at the same time . 2.

Warmer: 1)Start the class by singing a song. Ask the class to vote on a favourite from Level 5. 2) Review

adjectives with the verb to be. Point to objects and ask is it big or small? Point to students and ask is she tall or short? Etc.

Teaching

Presentations:

Activity 1. Listen and point . 1)Say Open your books on page 2.Hold up your book to show the children the correct page.

2) Ask the children to look at the pages and to guess as much information

about what is happening in the story .Try to elicit that the story is about people's personalities. 3)Point to each person and ask what is he/she like? Ask them to guess their personalities and teach the new vocabulary. Write the words nice,shy, clever, quiet, talkative and naughty on the board. 4)Play the cassette. The children listen and follow in their books.

5)Play the cassette again. Pause after each dialogue and perform an action to aid comprehension, e. g. making gestures that suggest each personality. I could hide behind my face to suggest ‘shy'. I could point to my head for ‘clever', smile and shake hands with someone for ‘nice', put finger in front of lips for ‘quiet'. 6)Repeat. This time pause for the children to carry out the indicated movements.

7)Divided the class into groups, with each group taking on a role in the story, either Panpan,

Maomao, Parrot,

Xiaoyong. 8)Encourage the whole class to say the dialogue, with each group saying its corresponding role.

Activity 2.

1)The children now act out the dialogue in pairs.

2)Call volunteers to the front of the class to act out the dialogue to their classmates.

Homework : 1)Work in Activity Book . Finish the exercise of page 2and 3.
