一、教学内容

六下Unit 4 Road safety Story time

二、教学目标:

1.整体感知课文内容,在情景中分层解读文本。

2.学习并掌握本课新词 road,traffic light, zebra crossing, pavement, rules, follow,能区分使用形容词safe,名词safety及副词safely。

3.学习情态动词must及其否定must not 的用法,并初步体会与can,should 的不同之处。

4.学习用正确的语音语调朗读课文,能在理解的基础上尝试复述课文。

5.学习过马路的交通规则和方法,树立道路安全意识。

三、教学重点:

1.能理解道路安全知识,尝试用英语进行复述。

2.学习情态动词must及其否定must not 的用法。

四、教学难点:

1.正确区分情态动词must,can,should的不同之处。

2.能简单区分形容词safe,名词safety及副词safely的不同。

3.能牢记过马路的交通规则,树立安全意识。

Step 1 Pre-reading

1.Free talk

T: Boys and girls, what habit do you have?

2.Lead-in

T: I like watching news on TV or on the Internet every day. Yesterday I watched a video, let me show you.

Ss Look at the video.

T:In the cities,roads are usually busy.Every day,many accidents happen on the road. Last year, so many people lost their lives. And about 40 students lost their lives every day in our country. It’s too terrible. Do you think so?

T:To keep safe, we must form some good habits.

为了保持安全,我们必须形成一些好习惯。

We must know some rules about road safety.

我们必须知道一些有关道路安全的规则。

They can help us cross the roads safely.

它们可以帮助我们安全地穿过马路。

(学习safe,safety,safely,must, cross等词。)

T:This lesson, we will learn “Unit4 Road safety”.(板书课题,并写上busy)

Step 2 While-reading (Story time)

1. Read and choose

T:Now,please open your books, read the text quickly, and think about this question.

What’s the main(主要的) content(内容)of this text?

A: There are many busy roads in our city.

B: We must(必须) look for a zebra crossing.

C: How can we cross the roads safely?

2.Read and understand

1)T: How can we cross the roads safely? Let’s watch the cartoon. (板书问题:How can we cross roads safely?)

Ss watch the cartoon and then complete the blanks.(看卡通,再填空。)图1——look for a zebra crossing

图2——look at the traffic lights

图3——wait for the green man

(填空并学习单词traffic lights,green man。)

Read this paragraph and try to retell.(在朗读的同时,完成思维导图,再根据导图复述。)

T:How can we follow the traffic lights? let’s listen to the policeman. 听录音,出示句子:了解其中文意思,体会must和can的不同。

Can you see the red man? You mustn’t cross the road now.

Look! Here’s the green man. You can cross the road now.

Have a chant:Red man, stop. Green man, go. Yellow man, wait. T sums up :How can we cross roads safely? We must follow the first rule:Rule1: If we can find a zebra crossing nearby, we must cross the road at ________________!(齐读)

Read these two paragraph. Then retell together, T writes on the black board.

2)T: But sometimes, we can’t find a zebra crossing.How can we do without a zebra crossing? Please read the 3rd passage.

T: For us,when we walk on the roads,we must follow the rules. For your parents,they drive on the road every day, they must follow the rules too.Here are some rules for them.(补充两个驾驶员要遵守的交通规则) T: Don’t forget to tell them.
