本单元的话题所需要用到的形容词最高级变化，虽然学生们在八年级上册就已经学习过，但是我们农村学生英语基础还不够扎实，存在着一定的理解障碍；而且对于大数字的英语表达，个别同学也感觉吃力，用数字对事实进行比较方面还较薄弱。所以本节课一定要在这两方面进行强化和突破，达到巩固的程度。同时，对于自然界一些世界之最的地理现象，部分学生比较清楚，对于话题的背景也很熟悉，部分同学也很茫然，所以要通过图片的方式逐步引导，以便为后面学生们编对话扫清障碍。评论（0）3重点难点

3.形容词和副词的比较级、最高级

大多数形容词和副词有三个等级：

1）原级（不作比较），修饰词very,so,too,pretty,quite,really

2）比较级，表示“较……”或“更……”的意思（两者之间进行比较）,

标志词than,A or B,of the two,

修饰词much,a lot,a little；

3）最高级，表示“最……”的意思

（三者或三者以上作比较），形容词最高级前面一般要加定冠词the，后面可带in（of）短语来表示三者及以上比较的范围。
