Reading

(Period One) Requirements according to the standard of the English course: 1. Enable the students to learn about the ads.

2. Train the students’ reading ability.

Learning goals：

How to analyze the structures of Paragraphs2,3,4; How to write a short article. Learning methods：

Use the approaches of skimming, scanning, discussion and writing.

Value：Be able to make a good choice on ads’ products

Learning procedure：

Lead-in Enjoy some advertisements.

Step 1: Fast reading Task1: Go through the passage quickly and find the answers to the questions in Part A. Questions: 1. What do ads try to persuade people to do? 2. What does PSA stand for? 3. What do PSAs aim to do?
