教材分析:

本单元是第二模块的第6单元,谈论的话题是PE lessons 。本模块从美术、手工制作和体育课活动三个方面呈现丰富多彩的课余生活。本单元主要介绍体育课上的各种活动。

Listen and say栏目是主要学习内容,以生动、活泼的情景为依托,呈现了新授和复现的句型。Look and learn栏目以呈现新词汇为主,也是学习的主要内容。

学情分析:

六年级学生已经有了一定的英语学习基础,听说单词对他们而言较容易。课文内容较长,需要多读才能上口并且读得流利。本单元的话题贴近学生生活,他们非常感兴趣,愿意谈论体育课和运动。

Teaching Aims(教学目标):

知识目标:

1.能听、说、读、写本课的核心词汇:high jump, long jump, long race, short race, win

2.能熟练掌握核心句型:

We have two PE lessons at school every week.

Sometimes we play ball games.

My friends and I like playing sport.

能力目标:能用合适的句型介绍体育课的基本情况。

情感目标:初步了解奥运会的基本知识,热爱体育运动。

1. 能在语境中运用本课的核心词汇和句型。

2. 能用合适的句型介绍体育课的基本情况,热爱体育运动。

Step Ⅱ.While-task procedures(呈现新语言知识和练习)

1.Lead--in.

T: Do you like playing volleyball or basketball?

Ss:Yes.

T:Which lesson do you usually play volleyball?

Ss:PE lessons.

T: Why do you like PE lessons?

S1:I like PE lessons because it’s fun.

S2:I like PE lessons because they make us strong.

T: What sports do you do in PE lessons?

S1: We play ball games. ……

2. Talk about the sports.

T: I know you do a lot of activities in PE lessons.

Do you do high jump?

S1: Yes, I do .

T:Can you spell “high”/ “jump”? Spell and read.

T:Then ,do you know the meaning of “long jump”? Spell and read. 4.Learn the word “win”.

Ask the two students to come to the front and do the long jump. Look at them and learn “win”/ “winner”

5.Talk about the sports.

T:Do you run long races or short races?

Who knows the meaning?

How do you spell “long”?Read “long”.

Write “race”on the board.Write the sound /reis/ and learn. Read “long race”one by one /two by two.

T:Look at the people.What are they doing?

Ss:They’re running long races.

T:Good.Thirty years ago,I was good at long races.

6.Drill

1)Read quickly and missing words.

2)Play a game.

Step Ⅲ: Learn the article.

1. Listen to the article and follow it.

2. Read the text and answer the following questions.

1) How many PE lessons do they have every week?

2) Do they like PE lessons?

3) What is Jill/Joe good at?

4) What do they do in PE lessons?
