教学背景

教材分析：2012年新人教版三年级英语下册Unit3 At The Zoo第四课时，包括Part B的 Let’s learn和Let’s do两个内容，是一节词汇课，主要教学几个形容动物体型的单词：small、big、short、long，并能运用It has....的句型来形容动物的外貌特征。本单元是另一个关于动物话题的单元，此话题特别能激起学生的兴趣，学生在三年级上册Unit4 W e love animals一单元已经认识了一些动物名称。在学完本单元后，学生不仅能认识更多的动物，还能对动物的体型、器官等进行简单描述，乃至对人物进行描述。对今后的学习起着至关重要的作用

学情分析：三年级是小学生学习英语的基础阶段，这一阶段的重要任务在于激发并保持学生学习英语的兴趣。他们有着极强的求知欲和表现欲，生性活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维，对游戏、竞赛、画画特别感兴趣。因此，在设计课堂教学活动时我借助图片，肢体动作，Flash动画等创设直观的教学情景，采用玩玩、猜猜、做做、说说、唱唱、画画等灵活多样的教学方法来吸引学生的注意，让他们在丰富多彩、针对性强的活动中来学习英语。努力营造玩中学、学中玩的教学氛围。同时课堂上尽量以鼓励表扬为主，鼓励学生开口说英语、特别是给差生创造机会，让他们尝试成功的喜悦。

二、教学目标：

知识目标：

（1）能够听、说、认读big, small, long, short四个形容词。注意告知学生它们是两对反义词。

（2）能够在图片的帮助下听懂指令、做出相应的动作，并说唱歌谣：“Big,big,big!Make your eyes big.……”

能力目标：能够在教师提供的语境中运用big、 small、

long、 short四个词及句型：It has…来描述动物外形特征。

情感目标：渗透爱护动物、保护动物的教育。
