2.Lead-in Somebody’s birthday is Ss know today’s topic. coming this month, we will

buy him/her a birthday gift. So today’s topic is buying a present. the Show a picture of Tingting and introduce her to Ss. Say “Her friend’s birthday is coming soon. Let’s see what she is doing now.”

1.整体感知四幅图

（1）Show Ss pictures of the dialogue. Ask Ss “How many people can you see? Where are they?”

(2)Have Ss listen to the tape and answer “Who is the woman/girl?”

2.讲解图片1 Teach the text picture by picture. Picture1:Ask

“What can you see in the pictures”

“What does Tingting want to buy?”

Play the tape. Have Ss listen.

(If the Ss can’t answer the Qs, they can listen again.) Tingting’s friend’s birthday is Ss know Tingting.

Ss answer the Qs. Two people. They are in the store.

“The woman is a clerk and the girl is Tingting.”

（1）Have Ss listen to the dialogue again and finish the T or F part in groups and then check their answers. Ask why. （2）Guide Ss to review the dialogue and list the sentence patterns. 7. Play the tape and let Ss listen and repeat. (Show Ss the text)

Ask one pair to ask and answer the prices by using “How much is/are …?”

to show other Ss how to fill the chart by showing their chart on the projector. Have Ss work in pairs and ask their partners the prices of the clothes. You can use the sentence patterns here. (The teacher stick the sentence patterns on the blackboard), then fill in the chart. Ask some pairs to show their dialogues.
