Teaching aims: 1.Students can understand the meaning of the story ,and match the sentences with the pictures; 2.Students can read the story fluently and act the story; 3.Students can use the key sentence patterns:I can see/hear/feel…continte this story. Teaching importance and difficulty points: 1.Act the story; 2.Continue the story. Teaching aids: PPT;Pictures of crab,fish,May and Tom; Pictures of the story. Teaching steps: Step1: Warm-up 1.Greeting. 2.sing the song “On the beach today”

T:DO you like the beach?Would you like to play at the beach? Ss answer together. Step2: Presentation 1.T:OK,let’s go to the beach with May and Tom.(T draws a picture of the beach,and pasted Tom’s and May’s pictures) Look at the picture of a beach,and ask: Where is May and Tom? What can you see? Listen,what can you hear? (Ss answer,T write the key sentence patterns:I can see/hear…) 2.T show a bucket,show and ask:what can you see in the bucket? (Ss say:NO.) Shake it ,and ask:what can you hear? (Ss say:NO.) T :OK,We can see nothing,and hear nothing.Please try to feel it. (Let some students feel and guess,Twrite down the key sentence:I can feel…) T:Yes.It’s a fish.Is it big? Ss:No,it’s small. T:It’s a small fish and a crab.(T write down the title of the story:The small fish and the crab.) 3.T:The small fish and the crab are in the bucket now,but where are they from? Ss:Waves.

T:Yes,they lived in the waves ,they lived in the sea.(T pasted them in the waves in the blackboard.) Guess,what can they see in the sea?what can they hear? What can they feel? (Ss guess) 4.T:What a rich inmaganation!Look,there are four pivtures of the small fish and the crab.Order them and you’ll know the answer.Please try to order them in group. (Ss order the pictures in group) 5.Ss discuss the pictures simply . 6.T:look at the picture one ,the fish and the crab are talking.What are they talking about? T helps the students finish the contents of the first picture 7.Ss match the others with the sentences and finish the story. Step3:Practice 1.Practice the story in pairs. 2.Ss go out the seat ,walk and read more sentences of the story by a picture.(学生离开座位利用自己手里的小卡片和他人互相练习小故事)。

3.Act the story. Steps4:Consolidation and extention The crab leaves the sea,it is at the school,what can it see/hear/feel…

Ss will be the crab,and talk about “The crab’s day”.Then have a report in the class. The crab go back to his home,and says goodbye.The class is over.
