教学材料出自新教材PEP英语(2013版)五年级上册Unit4 Read and write（P63），本单元的topic是What can you do? 该板块给学生提供了阅读文段，让学生了解Robin 会做和不会做的事，同时针对自己会做和不会做的事，给Robin提供帮助，和他交朋友。

本节课是一节阅读写作课。教学中主要以can/can’t为主线，先让学生根据对Robin之前的印象进行读前讨论，然后通过对文本的多层次阅读，更进一步地了解Robin，结合自己会做的和不会做的，给Robin写E-mail，成为Robin 的朋友。

最后情感升华。

简笔画引出Robin,让学生针对之前学过的对它的印象进行描述，包括它的样子，性格特征及擅长什么进行读前活动。

初读文本，找出Robin不开心的原因是想交新朋友。

再读文本，根据文本进行判断，进而罗列出Robin会做和不会做的事情。

根据板书复述文本，锻炼学生的归纳表达能力。

跟读文本。模仿Robin的语音语调。

针对文本。让学生说一说，写一写自己会做和不会做的事情，一来复习巩固重点句，二来为接下来的帮助Robin做铺垫。Robin不会的，如果我会，我可以帮助他，Robin会的，可以和它一起做。

出示Sarah的文本，以Sarah为第一人称，针对她自身能力，呈现一封回复给Robin的电子邮件，给学生提供回复的范本。

然后让学生写一封E-mail，告诉他自己愿意和他交朋友，讨论自身的能力以及原因。

教师呈现自己对一件事由不会到会的努力过程，然后通过一首小诗歌，情感升华，让学生了解，不会的事可以通过学习，努力尝试去把它变成自己会的事。只要努力，一切皆有可能。
