一、自主先学

Students preview the phrases in this part:

grow wheat,

raise cows,

know each other,

smell the flowers,

二、小组助学

1. Students fill in the blanks according to the pictures showed to them and

exchange their answers in groups of four.

Then we check the answers together.

2. Write a short passage to introduce your hometown. Use John’s script as a model. After they finish their own passage, students exchange each other’s passage in groups of four to find the mistakes and underline the good sentences.

教学反思: As the students are not good at writing, I ask them to finish the writing on the workbook. Before they start to write, I guide them to go through the key points and list some useful expressions on the blackboard for them to refer to. This helps to achieve better effects than letting them write without any restricted conditions.
