本课时主要是通过学生对学案所给出的内容的学习，了解本课文中所出现的词汇，初步了解课文以及相关的背景知识，对下一堂课对课文的全面理解起到一个铺垫作用。

这节课列举了与科技、实验有关的词汇（如简单的试验器材等），并设计了三个练习活动。通过这三个活动，学生可以初步熟悉这些词的意义，同时，让学生用英语语言准确描述简单的一个科学实验，并正确的填写实验报告，为以后的各项学习活动做好准备。

Science plays an important role in our daily life. So we should love science. And we should take the scientific attitude towards our work and study.

科学在我们的日常生活中非常重要，我们应该热爱科学，并且我们应该拥有一种科学的对待我们学习和生活的态度。
