Teaching Procedures and Ways: Step1: Warming up Play the flash on the screen; let Ss listen to the song for two times, then Ss sing the song with the flash together by clapping hands. Then say: I love my father. I love my mother. They love me. We are a happy family. OK. This class we’ll learn a new lesson unit 2 my family.

Show the title on the screen, and then write it on the board. Step2: Presentation Show the photo of my father on the screen and say: This is the man. Write the word man on the board and teach Ss to read. Point to the photo and say: The man is my father. Write the word father on the board and teach Ss to read. Ask Ss: Father, we also can say. Some Ss answer: dad. Write the word dad on the board and teach Ss to read. Then guide Ss to say: Who’s that man? I say: He is my father. Show the photo of my mother on the screen and say: This is the woman. Write the word mother on the board and teach Ss to read. Teach the words mother、mum and the sentences: Who’s that woman? She is my mother by using the same approach. Step3: Practice (1)Let all Ss read the words and the sentences together. Then divide Ss into boys group and girls group, teacher points to the board and ask each group to read loudly. (2)Show some pictures on the screen and practice the conversation: Who’s that man? He’s……. /Who’s that

woman? She’s……. / Who’s that boy? He’s……. /Who’s that girl? She’s……. (3)Let Ss take out their family photos and practice the conversation again: Who’s that man? He’s……. /Who’s that woman? She’s……. / Who’s that boy? He’s……. /Who’s that girl? She’s……. Step4: Extension and consolidation (1)Show Liu Xing’s family photo on the screen to the Ss and practice the conversation. e.g.: Who’s that boy? He’s Liu Xing. He’s /She’s Liu Xing’s……. (2)Show Mike’s family tree on the screen to the Ss and introduce his family members to the Ss: Hi! I’m Mike. This is my family. Look! This is my grandmother. Then guide Ss to say other sentences: This is my grandfather. This is my mother. This is my father. This is my brother. This is my sister. This is me. (3)Show my own family tree to the Ss and stick it on the board. Let Ss introduce my family members with me together, e.g.: Hi! I’m Miss Yuan. This is my family. Look! This is……. (4)Let Ss take out their family photos and introduce their family members to others, ask a few Ss to stand

on the stage to say it loudly. Step5: Summary and Homework This class we learned the new words man, father, dad, woman, mother, mum. (Point to the board and let Ss say them with me together.) We also learned the target language: Who’s that woman? She’s my mother. Who’s that man? He’s my father.

Then

show the sentence on the screen and say: Love parents, love everyone around us. (爱父母、爱我们周围的每一个人。) Then let all Ss read this sentence together. Homework: (Show it on the screen)

Introduce your family members to your parents using your family photos.

Tell your parents after school: Father and mother I love you. (Divide Ss into boys group and girls group to read this sentence.)
