M1U1 How are you?

Topic:

After school

Period: 3rd period

Task: To call and greet others

Background study and material analyses:

My children have been able to use the patterns ‘ Good morning/ afternoon/ evening/ night’,

‘Hello/

Hi’....’ to greet others. In the 1st and 2nd periods of this unit, the students have already knownhow to call others and greet others.

In this period, the students are going to use the greeting to communicate. By the end of this period, they will be able to make a conversation in the right situation.

Objectives:

1. To introduce and make a distinguish between Mrs Mr Miss.

2. To use How-questions to greet people and respond appropriately.

e.g.How are you , _______? Very well, thank you.

3 .To use the modelled sentences to answer the question:

Difficulty:
