Who’s That Man?第三课时

一、教学内容
本节课为陕西旅游版社小学英语六年级下册Unit 3 Who’s that man?第三课时,本节课的课型为阅读课。本单元主要以介绍中国杰出人物为主要话题的教学内容,通过人物现在以及以往事迹的介绍,交叉使用不同的时态,引导学生对所学的语言知识进行整合运用。这篇文章是以
Liu Wei的人物事迹为阅读材料的短文,其中涉及到了学生在六年级上册所接触到的一般过去式。在教学中,我利用idol 的大情境,为学生逐步解释出主人公的经历,通过Pre-reading(读前)——While reading(读中)——Post reading(读后)三个环节,将丰富的阅读情境和谐地编织为一体,让学生感受到整个阅读过程清晰流畅,让情感教育在语言体验过程中、语言输出过程中得到升华。
二、学情分析
六年级的学生较之前心里的想法发生了很多变化,学生有自己的主见,有自己的想法。对英语的学习已有了一定的知识储备。对英语课堂不再喜欢热闹的游戏或是对话表演,而更倾向于有深度的问题思考。
三、教学目标
1.语言能力:
(1)能熟练运用短文中的词组at the age of, had to (2)能在相应的情景中,会说感叹句:How difficult it was! But he made it. 2.文化品格:通过学习本篇文章,培养孩子积极、乐观、不畏困难的人生态度。
3.思维品质:在阅读中培养学生的逻辑思维能力和对人物的深层理解。
4.学习能力:在阅读情境的主线中,通过关键词或思维导图一定的提示下,复述短文。
四、教学重难点
重点:

学生能在文章学习的过程中,理解、运用句型at the age of...和had to do sth. 2.学生阅读能力的培养。

五、教学策略
为了突破这堂课的重、难点,教法上我主要采用情境教学法、任务型教学法来降低学习难度。学法主要以小组合作法、讨论法,旧知引新知等,来帮助学生学习新知。同时辅以多媒体等电教手段,使教学更加快捷、明了、有吸引力从而让学生正确、规范的运用英语。共同合作完成任务,感受成功的喜悦。
六、教学过程
1.Free talk (1)学生介绍自己的偶像
T:Do you have any idols? Ss:Yes . T: Who is your idol? Why?What does he/she do? (2)学生猜测老师的偶像
T:I have an idol,too.He is a man. You can ask me some questions and guess . Maybe you can ask“Is he a…?”
S1:Is he an actor?/Is he a singer?Is he a basketball player?/Is he a football player? T:No,but at the age of five,he wanted to be a football player.
T:Can he play the…?
S2:Can he play the violin? T:No ,but he can play the piano very well. (鼓励学生用所学过的句型尽量多地提出问题,并通过答语来猜测教师所说的偶像是谁,教师在教学中也要注意尽可能多地使用学生已经学过或本节课将要出现的语言知识,为学生后期的语言输入做好铺垫。) (3) 描述偶像
