The topic of this unit is What can you do.It’s teaching material

students mainly talk about the skills .In this lesson,the students can learn the skills in daily life.

The children in grade5 are active and they are curious about the new things.But they are in Analysis of different levels and impatient.So I’ll use use the different ways to show the new words and practice the knowledge in different ways.

Step1——warm up

To warm up the class.I will play a video about Super pupil.Then invite the Ss to join the competition and tell them if you want to win ,you should come on and finish these tasks. Step2——Presentation 1.For the new knowledge,I’ll teach them from words to phrase and to sentences. To help the students master the meanings of the new words.I'll use the different ways to show the new words. 2.Firstly, I will show them task 1 “listen and say”.I will play an English song ,and let ss guess what are they doing.Ss say “sing”,I will show them the picture and tell them “songs”and “sing English songs”.sentence “I can sing English songs”( show them more pictures and practice the phrase twice) 3.Tell them I hear beautiful music .I want to see.Show them picture that a girl is dancing.Then read “dance”

slowly,and then the sentences “I can dance”(Then pass the picture one by one and practice them.) 4.Then play a radio of pipa.Let Ss listen and spell out the word.Then teach the pronunciation just like Teaching

Ask Ss do action while they say “play the pipa”.Pay attention don’t forget “the”.(Then pass the picture one by one and practice them.) 5.Then show “Li Xiao long”. “Who’s he?”“He’s Li Xiaolong”.Tell them he is a famous kung fu star .let Ss read “kung fu” and do action. Show some pictures about kung fu, practice the phrase”do kung fu” By the way,I will let them know”Chinese kung fu are extensive and profound.(Then pass the picture one by one and practice them.) 6.Show them cartoons , ask them “what’s this”“It’s a book.”“yes,and it’s a cartoon book” explain “cartoon”“I like cartoons, let’s draw cartoons” I will draw a easy cartoon on the blackboard. Practice “draw cartoons”

Pay attention to “s”.(Then pass the picture one by one and practice them.) 7.After teaching these five new words and phrase,I will show Ss some pictures that are covered and let the students see and guess.Use the new knowledge. T:what can you do? Ss:dance.

Ss:I can dance. 8.Show them all of the pictures.Let them see and remember.when one of them missing , Ss say it quickly. I hope there have a pk between groups. Step3----practice After the students did a good job in presentation.I will give them the ticket to the Super pupil.When they come into competition.There’s a judge here.He wants to see what can you do.IN order to achieve good grades.Ss should show what they can.I will invite some students come to the front to show them an example. S1:What’s your name? S2:I am... S1:what can you do? S2:I can... Then divide the students into several groups .Practice the new words and sentences with their partners.If your group did a good job,I’ll give you a reward. Step4----summary

After practicing,now all the Ss are passed the judges tests.Then I’ll let them do a survey.Use the sentences “What can you do?”“I can...”“who can...?”“I can/XXX can”Review the new knowledge and let students finish the form. Step5----homework

As for homework,let the students to another survey .You can ask your family.Then talk about with your partners tomorrow.
