Lesson 9 The Palace Museum 一、教材分析

1.单元及课文分析

本课是冀教版《英语》五年级下册第2单元的第9课The Palace Museum。本单元的题目是“In Beijing”，讲授了“在北京”的话题。单元围绕着Jenny, Li Ming, Danny这三个小主人公在北京参观天安门、故宫、长城以及在北京购物等一系列有趣的生活情景展开，本单元在引导学生学习关于中国首都北京名胜古迹的词汇和短语，学生要掌握基本的旅游词汇；能够讨论应该做和不应该做的事情；可以就所观察到的身边事物进行对话；能够谈论人们正在做的事情。

本课“The Palace Museum”是本单元内容其中一篇，讲述了Jenny, Li Ming, Danny参观故宫发生的事情。学生在学习的过程中，运用英语语言读懂文本、提高了阅读技能，更重要的是学生在学习如何描述故宫的过程中，体会到语言学习的乐趣，增强自信心和成就感。

2.学情分析

授课对象为五年级学生，学生心理比较成熟，语感基本形成，理解能力表达能力较强。所以本节课应充分调动学生的积极性，发挥学生的潜能，发散学生的思维。

be 能够用所学知识简单地介绍故宫。

能够用所学知识简单地介绍故宫。

5.教学准备

多媒体、故宫图片，故宫的介绍（孩子们需提前做前参），导游帽和导游旗。

二、教学目标



知识与技能目标：

（1）掌握词汇及短语：take，take a picture，be （2）学生能用所学语言介绍故宫。



学习策略目标：

（1）积极与同学合作，共同完成任务；

（2）养成默读，听录音和跟读句子的习惯。



情感态度目标：

（1）提高学习英语的兴趣，乐于阅读。

（2）增强孩子们对文物保护的意识，要文明出行。

三、教学步骤

Step I Class Opening （5 minutes）

1.Greeting T: Hello, everyone! How are you today? Ss: I’m fine, thanks. T: How is the weather today? Ss: It’s sunny.

T: Yes, it’s sunny today, the sky is blue.

Step II New Concepts

T: Let’s watch a short film.

Where is it? Ss: It’s the Palace Museum.

T: What do you know about the Palace Museum? Ss: It’s old... T: What do you want to know about the Palace Museum?(You can ask some questions about the Palace Museum ) Ss: How old…? How large….? What colour…? Who can live in the Palace Museum?... 叫个别同学回答同学提出的问题

（一段故宫的视频让学生直观的看到故宫如同身临其境，学生运用已有知识，表达关于故宫自己所知道的以及自己想要了解的。)

T: Do you want to know more about the Palace Museum? Today we will learn lesson 9 the Palace Museum.

(设计思路：开课时一段视频引入新授，让学生直观地看到故宫。激发学生学习兴趣，让学生在愉快的氛围中放松自己并把注意力转移到课堂上。) T: Danny Jenny and Li Ming are visiting the Palace Museum. What happened to Danny？Can you guess? We know that Danny hurts his arm on Tian’anmen Square, now he is in the Palace Museum, what happened to Danny?(请几名同学猜测一下) S1: He hurts his leg. S2: He hurts his feet S2: He hurts his head. T: Let’s watch the film.

This is the story, look! There are three questions. Can you read the questions? Open your book, turn to page 24. First read silently and then underline the answers. 1. How old is the Palace Museum? 2. What colour is the Palace Museum? 3. Are there old chairs and tables in the Palace Museum? T: Have you finished? You are great.

tables in the Palace Museum, they are old. Now pairwork. Talk about the Palace Museum with your partner.

T: Have you been to the Palace Museum? Wang Haoran, how do you feel? When you are visiting it? Wang Haoran: I feel excited. T: How about Danny? Look! There are three pictures ,

Look at the first picture, how does Danny feel?

Ss: Danny feels excited. T: Lok at the last picture, how does Danny feel? Ss: Danny feels sad. T: What happened to Danny?

There are three questions. Can you read the questions? 1. Does Danny take a picture? 2. What do Jenny and Li Ming say to Danny? 3. Does Danny hurt his tail? T: take a picture(拿出卡片) Do you like to take a picture? I like to take a picture. The Palace Museum is very beautiful. May I take your picture?( 请一位学生) Can you answer my questions?

When you take a picture, you should be careful! (拿出be careful 的卡片) When you drink hot water, you should be careful! When you cross the road, u should be careful!

I’m the guide, I want to introduce the Palace Museum to you. Hello everyone, I’m your guide, this is the Palace Museum, it’s red and yellow, it’s beautiful, it’s about six hundred years old, that’s old, there are some chairs and

tables in the Palace Museum, they are old. It ‘s famous, what a wonderful place to visit. Practice with your partner, after 3min I will choose three students to come here to be the guide, and the winner can get the gold medal.

) you are the judges, so listen carefully. And tell me who the winner is. s: Show time.（带上导游帽和导游旗，学生在展示的时候看着老师在板书上故宫的句子）

（设计思路：语言的学习的最终目的是为了用，学生以导游的身份介绍故宫，既巩固了今天所学的知识，同时可以拓展关于故宫更多的介绍，达到学以致用。

展示一张故宫的图片请一位同学照相留念。

Step III Class Closing （3minutes）

1.自然过渡，引出本课的情感目标，保护文物。

T: Today we know something about the Palace Museum. Do you like it? How can we keep the Palace Museum clean and beautiful? Ss: Don’t draw or write on it. Don’t throw the trash to the trash can.

Now look. If you like it, don’t destroy it. We should protect our cultural relic.

3. Homework (1)

1.Talk about the Palace Museum with your parents. (2).Make a poster about the Palace Museum.（做一张关于故宫的海报）
