Step 1. Before reading 1. T: Look, here’s a lovely boy, his name is Jim. Today he is very happy. Because he knows a lot about public signs. What’re public signs? Let’s have a look.

2. T: Yes，they are public signs. Follow me, “signs”.

3. T: Jim learned a song about the signs “

the signs in the park”. Let’s enjoy. Then tell me how many signs are there in 二度设计

this song? T: What are they? 4. T: Do you know other signs? 5. T: Where can you see the signs? 6. T: This is a big shop, there are a lot of things in it, we call it a shopping centre.

Your father and mother take you to have lunch or have dinner in it? Where is it?

Step 2. While reading 1.T: Jim saw the signs in the shops, too. T:Let’s listen to the tape, then order the pictures, where did Jim go? 2.T: What signs did they see? Let’s watch the cartoon then tick the signs in the shop.

3. Read the pictures , choose the correct answer. What do the signs mean? Please read the text and find the answer.

4. Give the signs name? Show the four signs .

Answer: “What does it mean?”

Show the phrases “Wet floor”, “No littering”, “No eating or drinking”, “No smoking”.

Step 3. Practise 1. Read the story follow the tape. Here’re two new words “someone”, “smell”. According to the context to guess, what does it mean?

2. Read in group. 3. Act the dialogue. 4.Fill in the blanks. 5. Repeat the text Step 4. After reading 1. Jim knows a lot about signs ,he wants to put the signs here, can you help him? 2. Someone is taking photos here, Tim wants to take photos here, can he? 3.Follow the rules, to be a good citizen.
