【教学重点】

理解对话，能用正确的语音语调朗读课文；能理解情态动词can的另一个用法，即用于提出建议，意思为“可以”。

让学生看图片回答问题，一是检测了学生课前预习新单词的情况，因为回答时会用到clean、dirty、messy……二是可以复习Why引导和回答的句型。回答时可先让学生在小组中讨论，然后用小组汇报的形式回答。若学生不能准确说出涉及到的新单词，可在小组汇报时进行示范、纠正。

通过预习课文，让学生能听懂本课的重点句型：

What makes our city dirty?…make(s)…dirty/ messy.学生初步了解。

dirty、smoke两个单词学生可能发不准音，教师可通过领读、跟读、抽读等方式加强训练。

在回答Q1的时候学生可能不会读

factory,可以让学生先说中文，然后通过音标引导学生读出单词。

在回答问题时，教师要引导学生规范的回答：

在学生回答时教师要注意学生是否在can后面加了动词原形。

朗读过程中注意以下几个单词的发音：rubbish、bin，并注意学生一般现在时的使用是否正确。

教师应随时关注学生对于一般疑问句和特殊疑问句的语音语调是否正确。

这个部分可以让学生小组合作，然后进行汇报。

在读课文时要请学生注意一般疑问句和特殊疑问句的语音语调是否正确。
