一、上课内容：

小学《英语》六上 Unit 8 Chinese New Year （Story time）

二、教学目标：

1.学生能在情境中掌握单词和词组： fireworks, a lion dance, red packets, get, Hong Kong, next week, food, tangyuan, Chinese New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year’s Day

2.学生能在情境中理解be going to的用法，并能尝试运用be going to表达“计划”和“准备”。

3. 通过本节课的学习，学生能够有步骤地阅读和理解正确理解story time内容，并用正确的语音语调朗读。

4.学生能够了解更多的春节文化及其英文表达，并尝试着表达。

5.学生能够感知了解英文电子邮件的格式。

三、教学重点：

六、教学过程：

Step 1: Free talk & warming-up:

T: boys and girls. There are some teachers in our classroom, let’s turn around and say Good morning to them, OK? S: Good morning, teachers. T: Good! First, let’s play a game. ‘It’s me!’ Are you ready? Ss: Yes. T: I have long hair. Some girls: It’s me!

T: I usually go to school by metro. Ss: It’s me! T choose one ask: Why do you go to school by metro? Ss: Because the smoke from cars makes the air dirty. Cars use a lot of energy.

T: I like holidays! What holidays do you know? Step 2 Pre-reading:

1. 揭题。

T: You know a lot of holidays. And today we’re going to learn Unit8 Chinese New Year. 揭题：Unit8 Chinese New Year. So when you see this title, what comes to your mind? Ss 自由说

T: Well done! Do you know when is the coming Chinese New Year?（出示日历2月8日）Teach: Chinese New Year’s Day, Chinese New Year’s Eve

T: Oh, yes, we can do many things at Chinese New Year. Here are some pictures and phrases. Who wants to be the teacher, come here and teach us 请学生上台当小老师，最后齐读

T: We also can send messages, e-cards or e-mails to our friends. Right? Step 3 Presentation:

1. Scan and answer: T: Today let’s learn a story about an e-mail. First, let’s scan and answer. Who is the email from? Who is the email to? And what is the email about? I’ll give you 10 seconds. Please read it quickly and find the answer. (PPT呈现：课文email, 10秒计时条，tips)Ss scan. T: Who is the email to? Ss: The email is to Su Hai. T: How do you know? （引导学生关注to和Dear Su Hai）

T: Who is the email from? Ss: It’s from Anna.

T: How do you know?(引导学生关注Love，Anna)（PPT点击LoveAnna链接到地图）

T: Boys and girls, who is Anna? Where is she from? Look! (地图) Anna is from Hong Kong. She is far away from Su Hai. They write emails. They are e-friends.（PPT点击地图回到email）

T: What is the email about? Ss: It’s about Chinese New Year.

T: How do you know? (引导学生关注subject) T: Here “subject” means the title of this email. T: Now, let’s read. (PPT呈现背景)Ss read. T: The subject is Chinese New Year. What is the email exactly about? Let’s go on learning this email.

3. Intensive reading T: What are Anna and her family going to do at Chinese New Year? Work in groups，let’s read the email carefully and try to get the details, try to use the key words to finish the exercise in groups. (四人一组,精读课文，自主学习并完成阅读任务) 请一小组上黑板板书。

T: Let’s check together. 教师一边核对一边逐段教课文。

T: When we read long sentences, we should pay attention to the pauses. 用Su Hai gets an email from her e-friend Anna in Hong Kong.做例

b. 小结T: Boys and girls, look at the word and phrases.(指板书上的四个时间) Anna wrote in the time sequence. T: And let’s look at the email again. What does “be going to” mean?

T: Is Anna talking about the things in the past or in the future? Ss: In the future. T: （PPT再出现问题）So What is the email exactly about? Anna is talking about her plans for Chinese New Year.板书补充

When we talk about our plans, we can use be going to. 5. Read the last paragraph T: Anna shares her plan with Su Hai. She wants to know about Su Hai’s plan. So, at last, she asked a question. Can you read?

6. Open your books. Let’s read it together.

T: OK. I know you can read the email much better. Now time to retell. To retell the email well, you can begin with this sentence: 板书

T: Now, we know much about Anna’s plan and about Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. Actually, different places have different customs about Chinese New Year. Maybe we are going to …Are we going to buy any flowers on Chinese New Year’s Eve? What are you going to do? Yes, I’m going to watch the gala too. And I am going to do an interesting thing on Chinese New Year’s Eve. 挥挥手机

‘In Guangzhou and Hong Kong, people also go to flower fairs and buy flowers. They believe flowers can bring good luck. There are many temple fairs and lantern shows in different cities or towns. People go home and get together with family. They feel love and share happiness. Spring Festival is a holiday full of love and joy.’

Home work: 1. Imitate and read the story, complete the exercise on P80. 2. Retell the story to your parents 3. Find out more about Chinese New Year’s Day and learn how to say in English. 4. Write down your plans for Chinese New Year.
