本单元以皮格马利翁为话题，通过学习，使学生了解具有共同主题的希腊神话Pygmalion与萧伯纳戏剧之间在表现形式、人物塑造等方面的相同与不同之处；并能在此基础上，讨论人物特征和表演部分戏剧场景；能模仿剧本编写一个戏剧场景，并加以表演展示。

学生英语程度较好，教学设计可略高于学生的现有水平，为学生的进一步提升提供机

会。但是环节的设置应由浅入深，从学生熟悉的内容入手，抓住学生心理，激发学习兴趣，

让他们在活动参与中学习、产出目标语言。

Ask the students to go through the script on page 34 & 35 and find out what features in

structure makes it differ from a narrative story. 2.

Analyse the structure of a play script. 【To enable the students to learn a new literary genre and its features.】

Writing a script

1. Offer the students the following situations, and get them to write a short script about Eliza’s coming life. A. to go to a party for the upper class on her own. B. to apply for a job as a flower shop assistant. C. to go back to her gutter. To ensure the students’ creativity, a free writing style is provided. (Emphasize the importance of a narrator.) 2. Show their work to the whole class to see if it is written down in correct structure. 【To get the students to practise writing of the new literary genre.】

Get some groups to show script, paying more attention to their language skills. It’s better to make sure every group can have the chance to show themselves.
