Unit 4 I have a headache
陈兰Teaching contents : Part A
Teaching aims and demands :
1、knowledge object:
* Words : headache , toothache , stomachache
* Phrases : have a headache , have a toothache , have a stomachache, see a doctor
* Sentence patterns :
------What 's wrong with you?
------ I have a headache \ toothache\stomachache.
------You’d better see a doctor.
2、Ability object :
* Train students' speaking skills and enable them to describe illness. * Train students' talking about how to response to illness.
3、Moral object : To keep healthy is the most important thing .
Teaching key points and difficulties :
The words for describing the symptom of unwell : headache , toothache ,stomachache and train students' talking about how to deal with illness.
Teaching methods : Task-based method & the elicitation method. Teaching Aids : Mufti-media, presents ,some pieces of word cards and PPT.
Teaching procedures :
Step 1 Greetings
Sing a song together . Show a flash ,and sing how are you together . Step 2 Warming-up
T : who is he? Do you know him?
Ss: We don’t know.
T: He is Bethune. He is a doctor. Do you want to be a doctor? Why or why not?
Step 3 presentation
1. T :(show picture1 ) Look! What are they doing?
S : They are seeing a doctor.
Read and spell “see a doctor” for several times .
2. T :(show picture 2,review "tooth") Look ,it's a tooth .
(show picture 2,learn "toothache")
Read and spell the word .
Pair works . One acts and one reads .
T :(act as having toothache and get the Ss say )
S : I have a toothache .
3. T : (show picture 3,learn "headache")What's wrong ?(touch head and
say "ouch")
S : I have a headache.
Read and spell “headache” for several times .
One student act ,and the others say the word .
T : Touch your head ,please . Ouch,I have a headache . Ask the Ss : What's wrong ?
S : Ouch,I have a headache .
4. T : Look ,(picture 4)it's a stomach .(picture 5 stomachache and learn the word) Let's play "throw the bomb". Get the Ss to read the "stomachache" randomly.
T : What's wrong ?
S : I have a stomachache.
T : (act as stomachache)Ouch ! What's wrong ?
S : I have a stomachache.
Step 4 Consolidation
Say the sentences according the pictures as quickly as you can. Play a game : Do and say.
T : Look at my cards , please .Read it aloud , OK ?
S : OK.(read each word for twice)
T : (give the word cards to some students ) I need three of you to raise the cards .Who can help me ? When I say " headache",others point and read the word "headache"as quick as you can . Now are you ready ?
S : Go !
T : stomachache . (Ss point ) headache .(Ss point ) toothache . (Ss point ) toothache . (Ss point ) stomachache . (Ss point ) \stomachache .(Ss point )
T : Cool ,you're NO.1 .
S : NO.1,NO.1,you're NO.1 .
