A Teaching Plan

Teaching Content: Writing— My home (speaking & writing) Teaching Goals: 1.

To help students write several sentences to describe their homes and favorite cities. 2.

To help students improve their abilities of speaking and writing. Background Information:

The teaching content is from Module 4, Book 1, New Standard English. This module stresses students’ abilities of speaking and writing. In this part, there are two texts for students to read, and then students need to talk about their own homes. Analysis of Students: 1.

Students have learned words and vocabularies before, so they have mastered some words and phrases. 2.

Students can describe their homes simply, but they haven’t mastered some sentence patterns well.

Teaching Methods:

By the end of the class, students can describe their homes, and they can use phrases and sentence patterns from the two texts correctly. The goals have been achieved. 2.

There is still something I should pay attention to. For example, the design of activities cannot motivate students well, so I should work out a variety of activities to make students positive enough. 3.

More eye contacts will make students and me more natural and trust each other.
