1a. Look, listen and learn. 过程：

1b. Read the text again. Tell your partner what the Arctic is like. Step 1 老师利用多媒体课件，

向学生展示有关北极的视频或图片，引出单元核心词Arctic，学生学说、练习词汇。

Step 2 老师利用地球图片介绍句型：What do you know about the Arctic? Where is the Arctic? Look, the Arctic is here. It is at the North Pole of our Earth.理解并学习词汇：North Pole, South Pole, Earth. Step 3 老师提问：What’s the Arctic like?播放录音及图片，让学生初步感知短文。

Step 4 学生再听一遍短文录音，老师截取文中的关键信息让学生填写，请学生将短文补充完整，如: What do you know about the Arctic? Where is the Arctic? Look, the Arctic is here. It is at the North Pole of our Earth. It is very, very cold in the Arctic. Go to the Arctic, and you will see a white world. There is ice everywhere. The sea is clean and blue, and the sky is also very, very blue. The Arctic is very beautiful. Step 5 学生打开课本到第14页，听录音，跟读短文。

Step 6 学生独立朗读短文，可分小组开展朗读比赛。

Step 7 借助图片和老师给出的关键词提示（North Pole, Earth, cold, white, ice, clean, blue, sky, beautiful）学生同桌之间尝试说一说有关Arctic的信息。

2. Listen and say the sentences. Step 1 老师播放录音，学生初步感知句型。

Step 2 老师再次播放录音。老师可将句子打乱顺序板书在黑板上，请学生将句子按听到的顺序排列。

Step 3 老师播放第三遍录音，学生跟读句子。然后学生独立读句子，或同桌之间相互读，并矛以评价。

Step 4 老师可出示与句子相对应的图片，请学生尝试看图说句子。

1、读熟背诵Part 2 四个句子。
