一、教学内容:

外研版新标准小学英语(三年级起点)四年级下册《Module 5 Unit 2 They were young.》。

二、教材分析:

本课是外研版新标准小学英语(三年级起点)四年级下册第五模块第二课时。本课的教学内容是在上一课学习运用was和were描述过去事物的特征或状态的基础上,进一步学习运用was, were,wasn’t 和weren’t描述过去事物的特征或状态,对比过去和现在的不同。课文通过三组图片的展示和对比,向学生揭示了这样一个道理:事物是会变化的,要用发展的眼光看事物。课文难度不大,教师在教学过程中应注重本课知识的巩固和拓展。学完本课时,要求全体学生能完成教学目标和任务。

三、学情分析:

本课的教学对象是四年级的小学生,经过一年多的英语学***多数学生对英语有浓厚的兴趣,乐于在课堂学习中表现自己,但有一小部分学生对学习英语存在惰性,兴趣不高。所以教师本设计了多种多样的教学活动来调动学生参与英语学习的积极性,激发学生的探知欲。通过第一单元的学习,学生对be动词的一般过去时用法有一定的了解,但对于部分学生来说,熟练运用was和were描述过去事物的特征或状态仍有些难度。希望通过本课多种多样的教学活动,进一步提高学生综合语言运用能力。

四、教学目标:

1、语言知识

(1) 全体学生能运用:She wasn’t tall then. They were young. They weren’t old then.这样的语句对比过去与现在的不同之处。

(2) 全体学生能理解:wasn’t=was not, weren’t=were not, clean, dirty.

(3) 全体学生能运用:wasn’t=was not, weren’t=were not, clean, dirty.

(4) 感知单词的重音和句子的重读。

2、语言技能

(1) 全体学生能听懂:They were young. They weren’t old then.

She wasn’t tall then. It wasn’t clean then.

(2) 全体学生能说:She wasn’t tall then. They were young. They weren’t old then.

(3) 全体学生能认读:wasn’t=was not, weren’t=were not, clean, dirty.

3、情感态度

在课堂上敢于开口,表达中不怕出错误;在小组活动中乐于参与、能与其他同

学积极配合和合作,养成合作精神和竞争意识,能体会到英语学习的乐趣。

五、教学重、难点:

重点:能在实际中运用was, were, wasn’t=was not, weren’t =were not 过去与现在

的不同。

难点:能准确的读出“wasn’t, weren’t”并能正确的运用。

六、教学准备:单词卡片、录音机、课件、多媒体展台

Step 1: Warm-up and lead-in 1. Greetings.

T: Good morning, boys and girls..

Ss: Good morning, teacher. 2. Look and say.

To review some adjectives and their opposites.

Eg. big - small, good- bad, fat-thin,

short- long/ tall 3. Do Activity 1.

(1) Listen the activity 1.

T: Look, It’s a butterfly. How was it then? Let’s have a look.

(2) Listen and repeat.

(3) Repeat together. Step 2: Task presentation Use the functions “They weren’t old

then. They were very young. She wasn’t tall then. She was short. It wasn’t clean then. It was dirty. ” to describe someone or something’s past state. Step 3 Text learning
