教授对象是六年级的学生,他们具备了一定的英语听说读写的能力,但较重的学习负担也让他们逐渐失去学习的兴趣。在出行方面他们学过简单的交通工具,会询问如何从一个地方到另一个地方。方位词方面曾接触过north, south的简单用法。

合理制定教学目标
围绕本单元主题Great cities in the world,将本单元教学设为三个课时。本课是第一课时,核心语言是:How long does it take to get to …from…by…?词汇:capital, north, east, west ,south, in the north of,教学目标设定为在语境中理解并学习核心词汇和核心句,通过观察时刻表运用核心语言和同学谈论两地之间的距离及用不同的交通工具所花费的不同时间;通过制定合理的假期出行计划在实际的情景中巩固并运用语言,学以致用。根据学生在课堂上的表现,感觉目标设定较为合理,大多数的学生对本课任务较感兴趣并可以较顺利地达成,但与此同时我也在思考任务的设置是不是可以再有挑战性些,以满足不同层次的学生。
2.不足之处
⑴新词的学习capital及四个方向词的学习有些枯燥,方法单一,给学生留下的印象不够深。四个方向的词可以放进句子里再练一练,如:Teacher’s Guangzhou is in the …of China…. China is in the …of the world.notes 出示句子的同时,配以地图,上面标出城市名或国家名,播放课件的同时配些时钟滴答的声音,增加紧张感,增添气氛等等。
⑵情感激发不到位。学生可能是因为在录播室上课的原因,显得非常的拘谨而老师也没有及时调控过来,欠缺灵活调节课堂气氛的机智和能力;本课有但应更多些能点燃学生学习热情和内心情感的教学活动或环节,课堂中可以增添些音乐,加些视频等,这些都有利于激发学生的兴趣;师生之间的互动交流也缺乏些能引起共鸣的情感,过于平淡了些,老师与学生沟通交流的能力还应再提高。
⑶板书是败笔,板书的布局太乱,可以将竖向的排版改为横向的。课前准备些词卡,上课时贴上搭建出框架,最后总结时再补充完整。
⑷课文处理时间过长,还可以再紧凑些,留出更多的时间给后面的环节。
⑸语境不一致,对话的导入是Ms Guo在向学生们介绍北京和上海,这个情境和和实际的生活情境不接轨,而且在后来的运用环节老师是利用了假期出游这一情境,如课前,课中,课后的语境都能一致起来是不是5
更具统一性并给学生的学习带来方便。
3.满意之处
⑴语境的创设。利用信息差让学生通过观察各大城市之间的交通时刻表了解两座城市之间所需花费的时间并借讨论“假期出游打算”让同学们运用核心语言和别人展开交流。真实的情境真实的交流更能引发孩子说的兴趣。在这期间我将书中的from Beijing通过几个小环节巧妙转变为from Nanjing,让语境更加真实,在课堂中我能明显感受到学生的那种想了解、想实践的那种跃跃欲试的情绪,那是一种积极的有利于学习的好的情绪。
⑵本课的核心句很长,朗读和理解都是难点,用划线分段朗读的形式并同时配以与之相符的图画,这样的方式既帮学生理解了此句又教会了学生朗读的方式,听课老师们都认为难点处理得很巧妙且有效。
⑶在热身环节让学生看ppt猜城市,学生对这个活动还挺感兴趣,这个活动也迅速将课堂切入到本课的主题中去。
⑷在正式进入主题后通过三个词big, many people, famous 让学生对great city有一个正确的理解,我觉得还是很有必要的。
