教学内容

Book 10 Module 8 Unit 2 “I made a kite.”

此课选自《新标准英语》2011年版(一年级起点)五年级下册第八模块第二单元,通过第一单元的学习,学生了解了主人公Daming想亲手制作一个风筝送给他表兄的事,激发了学生动手尝试的欲望。在本次教学中,我采用了翻转课堂的理念,提前给学生观看如何制作风筝的视频,突破语言技能重难点,将课堂重点放在了体验制作和语言的运用上,期待学生通过提前自学、知识检测、合作操作、语用表达掌握简易风筝的制作过程,并体会学习与表达的乐趣。

教学目标

知识与技能:

1. 能准确运用drew, painted, cut, put, tied, could等动词过去式来描述风筝的简易制作过程,

语音标准并能正确认读、运用。

2. 能准确理解并运用核心词组cut with, put on, tied to。

3. 能理解、朗读、复述教材中的语篇。

文化与情感:

能在文本学习和活动过程中,了解关于风筝制作的简单知识,体验风筝制作的乐趣,引导学生正确的送礼观念。

学习策略:

1. 在课堂学习和交流中,注意倾听,积极表述。通过模仿、阅读、思考、讨论等方式,完成学习任务。

2. 形成报告,以小组合作的方式进行陈述。

教学重点:

1. 能准确掌握不规则动词过去式的用法。

2. 能使用过去式有序表达风筝或其他物品的简易制作过程。

教学难点:

1. 不规则过去式的掌握。

2. 关键单词scissors, stick, string的发音准确性。

3. 动手操作过程中的指导和合作。

教学过程

Step one: warm up 1.

Greeting: teacher meets the students warmly. 2.

Boys and girls, let’s listen to the English song “fly, fly in the sky”

Q: what is flying in the sky? Ss: the dragon kite is flying in the sky. 3.

Lead-in: yes, the kite can fly in the sky. Last lesson, we know Daming made a kite for his cousin, and you watched the video and learned how to make a kite at home. Today, let’s make kites together.

Step two: presentation 1.

Check the results of self-study; T: my lovely students, we are going to make a kite. Look at these materials, what don’t we need? We don’t need_____. What do we need?

We need _____________. (Teacher encourages the students choose and say.) 2.

Sum up the materials. PPT: so, if we want to make a paper kite, we need a piece of paper, scissors, color pens, sticks, strings, and the glue or the tapes. 3.

How to make a kite? (1)match the materials and the sentences. T: look at this bag, I prepared some materials for you, what can we do with these materials or why do we need them?

For example, the sticks, it can build the frame. Take out your worksheet, and match the materials and things. If you finish it, please try to read it.

Check the answers together. (2) Order the sentences

a. T: yesterday, Daming made a kite. How did he make it? Look, he wrote these steps down. Let’s read after the media, after that, put these sentences in the correct orders please.

b. Now, let’s do the activity 2, order the sentences please.

c. time’s over, let’s check the answers together. 4. Retell these sentences with the phrases.

(1) This time, let’s try to review the steps. (2) Do you know how to make a kite now?

Step three: do and say 1.

Now, we’re ready to make a kite. Listen to the rules please. (1)

Before the lesson, we drew lots to decide who should be step one to five. The group leader must order your group members to do the right thing.(按照课前抽签的结果,组长督促组员完成相对应的任务。)

After you do it, circle your task and read it.(当你完成后,在作业纸上圈出你的任务并读一读。)

Ss: you can make _________ for your daughter. 2. T: thanks for you advise, mother’s day and father’s day are coming soon, what can you make for your mother or father? Discuss with your partner, and then tell us please! 3. If you want to give someone a present, don’t buy, just make it! Beacase it will be unique(独一无二)!
